JUNE SCRAP PALS

I am getting anxious about receiving my package! I don't even care what I get, it will just be nice to get something other than bills addressed to me!

I for one and sticking with a $10 goal for my scrap pal, and sending something twice a month. If it's a $10 thing, or 5 $2 things doesn't matter to me and I hope it doesn't matter to my pal. Just my 2 cents!

I think that sounds like a great amount. It is just my opinion but I really think we all ought to try to stick to a certain amount per month, that way a few people aren't getting way more or way less and nobody has to feel "cheated". Does that make sense?
I really love the idea of the scrap pals and I'm excited to be taking part. But I was worried about the whole amount issue. Especially since we are posting our gifts.
That is just my opinion, anyone else have any ideas?

I agress with Laura2. I am going to stick with the $10-$15 a month. When you think about it though, the way prices are on scrapbooking stuff it might be a few small things. I went to buy Disney cutouts at my LSS and they were $3.49 a sheet and the matching stickers were $2.99.

Kittyeisner, I hope those Disney cutouts and matching stickers weren't for your scrap pal---or that comment might give you away.

I also agree, I love getting anything besides a bill in the mail. A piece of paper with HI written on it would be a treat. LOL I am going to stick to a $10-$20 monthly amount. I'm not really going to keep track, but you can kind of figure it up in your head as you go along. Plus there are always the handmade gifts as well, that are worth a lot.

I just want everyone to know - that it isnt the money - its the thought that makes this fun. That is why I suggested the $10 amount - because I didn't want people having to spend fortunes just to get to participate. I for one - love to make things and since I am only scrapping a few specific albums I have more fun making things for other people that they can use that I wouldn't get to play with and make otherwise... Now yes these things may not be worth large $$ amounts but I feel they are "worth" something - once again - its always the thought that counts So pleeaaassseee - everyone - smile and have fun not worry on whether or not you spent enough. Remember the 2 rules: the golden rule and the EVERYBODY MUST HAVE FUN

I think it is just the excitement of getting things from someone else. I like the idea because normally other locations have things you might not have seen b4 or couldn't find in your location. I would love anything and even if I might not be able to use it right then I am sure I will come across something. I am the type to work a LO just because I have something I like - lol!

Heres my thoughts on this.. I'm going to spend 10 bucks every 2 weeks and send my pal a gift.. I'm alos gonna probably include some handmade stuff. I personally LOVE LOVE LOVE (hint hint whoever you are ) handmade stuff...

are any of you ordering your gifts online and having them sent to your pal? Or do you want to share that info? I was just wondering if that would be a good option.

I'm spending like 15 a month. But if my pal desides less is sufficient I won't even mind. If it is unthoughtful or something I specifically said no on, that's another story. Money is no issue at all.

I got my package today!! Woohoo! I was very excited. I got some tagged colored circles (never used these so it'll be fun), I got a lot of fresh cuts..... including easter ones........ will motivate me to do an easter lo........ never done one of these either, clear circle page pebbles..... never used these, baby buttons, paper wire, a tag, and 2 disney things. There's one thing for sure.....my buddy sure has motivated me!!!

I have a clue as to who my buddy is........ I at least know where she lives. (even though she used Bambikay's return addy!)

Dennise, that is so true about getting things you haven't seen before. Most of the things I received from my secret pal, I haven't seen around here. That makes it so much neater. You think, wow...I haven't seen that before. And I am like you...trying to come up with lo's, etc. just so I can use my embellishments. haha.

I've even found myself "planning" my pictures. Meaning I've been wanting to take certain pictures just so I can have a scrap page of it. LOL

RhondaR, yes people has been ordering online and sending pkgs. to their pals. Just make sure you put in somewhere that this is a SECRET PAL and not to disclose any info. about you to them. Sb.com has been good at doing this...just tell them.

True, but we can always go in and change them NOW...then they won't know by the postmark. hehe

Does anyone like my NEW Location??? hehehe Glad I sent my first surprise out by ordering online. So far I've got who my secret pal is narrowed down to 26 people and am still working on it, but not too hard. LOL

Wow THis post is hard to keep up with I am gonna have to check more often lol. wo answer the questions here goe I love to find a b argain but if its something I really like or think lol I have to have I get it I went on e bit of a shopping spree this past wekk YIKES but I think my buddy is gonna love the things I send at least I hope she does I try my best lol. And I usually go to a few crops a month try to at home but am in too many swaps too crop here lol and I have my hands full with a 7mo old and a 20 mo old but I try to after sleepy time is in session lol. This is gonna be so much fun I gotta get my package ready tonight and hopefully dh with mail tomorrow otherwise scrap pal its going out on Friday I feel a bit tardy but when you open it, it will be worth the wait I hope LOL FUN FUN FUN MAndy

Thanks for the heads up Rhonda, I went in and removed mine to for now so as to not give it away. I am anxiously awaiting my package. I watch for the mail man every day and the anticipation is killing me (LOL) Also anxious to see if my pal likes the stuff I sent. I have another pkg to go out soon

Well, I got in from a long trip to South Carolina today (drove 6 hours up and back) with 3 kids 14, 13, and 10 plus DH to find in my mailbox a nice package with:

a little Sizzles Texture package and
all boy defined sheet and
all girl defined sheet


I love it!!! I can't wait to start using the Texture sheets tomorrow.

I think it's fun that everyone is gettting things at different times. It makes it more exciting! How fun to hear what you guys are getting and giving.
