LOL--well, to make a long story short, my training program involved getting divorced from him. Not a good plan but it seems to have all worked out in the end! LOL We can laugh about it now!

Everyhing else is pretty much the same. It is really the same basic tool with the same software justa few little changes. The biggest difference is that the Silhouette is from QK. Any time I have had a proble, I just pick up the phone and HUMAN BEING answers it and helps me. I love that. I'll weld my own words just to be able to have that kind of service!

You can use inkscape also to weld words.
Xyron has there own Wishblade designs.
Customer service is great

I am curious about your experience with customer service from Xyron . I have heard that is not good from several people who have Wishblade s. Their not supporting machines they sold less than a year ago (i.e. not coming out with updates to make them Vista compatible) just makes me wonder...

I have no problems with Xyron customer service and they already came up with an update for Vista.

Well, maybe my info is old but their website said they would no longer be supporting the blue machine or coming out with a Vista driver for it. Maybe they did the right thing after all. Which would be great!

Well have a Wishblade (pink) and I have not used it since I got it! I dont know why but my Cricut is just so easy and that is the first thing i grab when i start scrapbooking! I do need to use the Wishblade more often since i paid so much for it! Hope that helps!

I had the Silhouette and really liked it but I decided to upgrade to the Pazzles and I love it! It can do so much more and the fact that it cuts 12 x 12 pages makes it so easy to use. It cuts chipboard, felt and many more types of materials.

I also own the Cricut Expression and enjoy it as well but recognize that it is limited to types of materials and the cartridges available.

In the long run the Pazzles is going be the most economical cause you don't have to buy carts. You can use any true type font, jpgs etc. Plus I love the software that comes with it.

So, after reading all the responses on this thread I have a question. Does the Silhouette only cut those designs that you download from their site or can you use the GSD files like you download for the Wishblade ? I'm still trying to decide...Expression or WB or Sil... I would be able to purchase supplies for the Cricut locally, but have not seen anything for the others. Where do you buy your supplies for your Sil or WB? With the new Cricut software, are you able to cut out anything other than what is on cartridges? TFTH!
