6x8 Snap album - will it hold 50 page protectors?

I'm in the process of creating an album highlighting my son's Senior Year of high school. There will be no bulky enclosures - just page protectors with either journaling cards/photos. I'm looking at about 50 pages total. Will they fit in the album or should I re-create my album template (and then about how many page protectors could I reasonably assume will fit in the album by the end of our project?) That would be pushing it--I did one recently that has about 40 pages total and the first couple of pages are starting to curve over the top of the binding rings and I'm afraid that they will start ripping somehow in a couple of years.

Maybe split it into 2 albums...

Thanks for the heads up. I've re-configured my layouts and have the album down to 30 pages minimum - maybe adding 5 pages or so for "extra".
