My Husband Calls Us "Scrappies"

As I was visiting this site and typing "LSS" as part of posting a reply, my husband came into the room and asked what LSS meant. I told him it stood for Local Scrapbook Store and the abbreviation is part of the "lingo" on this site. He groaned/laughed and said "Well, people obsessed with Star Trek are called Trekkies so all of you obsessed with Scrapbooking are Scrappies!" He thinks he's so funny!

Have you ever watched the Creating Keepsakes hour on QVC with Lisa Bearnson? One of the QVC hosts, Dan, calls us Croppers! He is so funny!
I think I like Scrappies better!

LOL, I think your praise on my husband's joke has him thinking he should be a stand up comic!
I actually haven't watched any of the QVC scrapbooking shows. I was just at their website looking to see when the next scrapbooking show is but they don't show too far in advance.
Have you ever bought any sb supplies from QVC? If so, do you have any reccommendations?

I think the next scrapbook shows are coming tomorrow (7-30-01). One starts at 1 AM and the other at 3 PM (EST). Hope you see this in time to catch the show.

I work at QVC Headquarters and just happen to have the programming schedule right in front of me.
Sunday, August 26 is Hobby & Craft Day on QVC. Some of the hours that may interest you are:
(All in Eastern Time)
6:00am Susan Branch
12:00pm Susan Branch (a TSV Maybe?)
7:00pm Creating Keepsakes - Scrapbooking
Believe it or not, I have not ever purchased Scrapbooking supplies on QVC. It's always on on the weekend and I have a tv with QVC on it in front of me all day at work so I don't watch it too much on the weekends.

thanks for the heads up....not that I will be allowed to order anything but I like to make dh watch and "suffer through" with me...i have to watch the weather channel...he can watch scrapbooking....

You have to watch the weather channel? My dh says there is something wrong with that, the worst he gets is the Discovery-Wings channel!

My husband is addicted to the Weather Channel! I make him watch Lifetime though so I guess I shouldn't complain.

My husband is addicted to the weather channel too. I watch a lot of the Fox News Channel and he calls it watching my "fussin' shows"

You all probably won't believe this, but my husband RARELY watches TV. I know, I know, I married a stud!! We have been married almost 10 years, and I love him more today than ever!
