Pages slipping out!!

I am having problems with my 8 1/2 x 11 pages slipping out of the top of my pioneer album when my daughter looks at it. If she sits at all with the book angled on her lap, the pages just slip out the top a little. Has anyone else had this problem? I don't think I will buy anymore pioneer albums because of this.

I have had this problem with another brand fo top loading album. It was because of this that I am sticking with the CM albums right now, I'd like to find some sort of 3-ring that uses the pages directly in the rings and then attaches the page protectors though if anyone knows of one... OR to find anotehr option... My sister in law told me of one album that is actually bound inpages, I am thinking of getting one of those for the heritage album, but for most of the books I do CM seems the best option for now.. the westrim ones don't seem to hold as many pages to me....

I have seen protectors for the post or loose leaf binder that load from the inside vertical edge. I don't remember who made them, but they are out there somewhere. I think I had seen them at Pearl Art Supply. Nancy

Gosh Susan,
I hadn't thought of this happening. I have made all three of my gk a 12x12 Pioneer top loading album. I can just imagine the same slipping of the pages. ***Maybe one could seal the top opening after the album is completed. I was thinking of using a tape like material that was acid free etc.*** What do you all think?

[email protected] has what you're looking for. I used to subscribe to the Precious Moments Scrapbook and every month or so I got new papers, adhesives, pages and protectors. The plastic protectors are 3-hole punched and then you fit the pages right inside. I got this book for my daughter when she was 5, and it's perfect for her. They sent out the first shipment with the 3-ring binder and it's a really big size. It hold tons! Everything is photo-safe and it's guaranteed by Time Inc. I use the CM albums for myself, but if this is what you're looking for, I think it's perfect! I know there are other kinds besides the Precious Moments, so LOL

C-Line make a page protector that is side loading. I'm pretty sure that you can order them from Keeping Memories Alive.
I've used them before and they are wonderful. I have the same problem with my top loaders, but it's not necessarily the Pioneer albums. It's the design on the page protectors. Try adding a couple of space sheets of cardstock in between your pages. It will fill up the "pocket" and they won't fall out so easily. That's what I do and it's working great.

I use Pioneer 12x12 albums and am really getting disgusted with them. First of all, they're not the right size so I have to cut off about 1/4 inch off the side to get the pages in there AND my pages slip out the top and get all crinkled up there <>. I just don't have the money to go out and buy all new albums. I like the look of the Pioneers on the outside, but just can't stand the page protectors. They're the pits!

Wouldn't you know I have a solution to this problem too! LOL! I buy the C-Line page protectors and use them in my Pioneer albums. They are 12x12 and come in regular and non-glare. I get them from Michaels or Ben Franklins with a 40% off coupon. The Pioneer pp are not only smaller but the tear easily. HTH!
