My girls are 3 and 4 so they're in preschool and I opted not to take the week off so they're still going to school. My oldest will start kindergarten next year so I'm sure then Spring Break will mean a little more. It actually got a little chilly here today so we weren't able to go outside like I wanted. I'm hoping to take them to the movies this weekend. I think they will enjoy the Robot movie thats out. I'm also going to try to get some Easter Pictures made of them too. Other than that we are just laying low this week.

Disney sounds like fun. I've never been to world or land. I'm hoping that when my girls get a little older I'll be able to afford to go.

I've enjoyed being your pal. I can't imagine how hard the last month or so has been for you. My mom died 4 1/2 years ago unexpectedly from undiagnosed kidney cancer. That was hard. I hope that your hubby is doing better and that you hear from your son often. I will pray for his safe return from Iraq.

I'm doing really well -- I cropped this weekend with some awesome ladies from one of my monthly kit clubs - all the Michigan women met up at a LSS and spent the day scrapping and shopping.

Heather, I agree and that is what I miss most (besides my family) about living in Orlando. The sand is so white and the water is just beautiful. I have been to many beaches, but none as wonderful as that one.

Hi Pal, I had a nice weekend, thanks for asking. I did get to scrap a little, I spent some time Friday reorganizing my scrap area.

I can't wait to find out who you are so I can thank you properly for being such a terrific pal. You have chosen gifts that I absolutely love. In fact the one page I made this weekend I got to use the foam letter stamps you sent me.

You have also given me some great clues to your identity, but I haven't had any time to do and "investigating" to determine your real identity. I guess I'll just wait until my March package and let it be a surprise.

Kind of funny, DH just called me at work to tell me that he is sitting in front of a scrapbook store, when he told me where it is, I informed him that I already knew about that one. Then he wanted to know if I knew about the one near that one, and I was like "Of course". He was so proud, he thought he had found something new for me---lol!!!

Aw, thanks! Hopefully, today I may get off work at my normal time. Either today or tomorrow, I have to get an 8-hour day. Of course, I have stuff to do when I do get off. The local scrap store is having a special St. Patty's Day sale, anything green you buy is an extra percentage off. Gotta love that! Also, as soon as I'm off work I have to drop off my DB's engagement/wedding announcement at the local newspaper. It was his job to get it in our local papers, but he hasn't done anything. I called around and all the papers said they try to get it within 3 weeks of the wedding....but they said there were so many engagements at Christmastime this year and, thus, so many announcements, it is iffy if it will make it before the wedding. But, I'm going to try. I told my DB if he wanted it in his town's paper, he better get moving.

So, your floor is all done, right? Oh...you never answered a question I asked a long time ago. You made a reference to kindergarten...are you a teacher?

Yes, my floor is ALL DONE!!!!!!! I have to go to Home Depot today and get some white wood putty to putty in the nail holes on the trim and then, I am OFFICALLY done in the kitchen.

Or at least, until we decide on a new stove. But they will install that.

I am not a teacher...I am a paraprofessional...A.K.A. a teacher's helper!

It is fun most of the time.

Hey, Jen! Yes, working later hours, but today I got an 8-hour day!

I was going to stop at a special scrap store St. Patty's Day sale on the way home, but have too much to do tonight...have to get ready to see my bf. We missed our Survivor night together because the show came on Wednesday and I didn't find out until I read a pm from a friend here and it was too late to go to my bf's.

But, we will be having a Star Wars night tonight to make up for it. I have to refresh myself on the Star Wars film before the next movie comes out.

I just received my St. Patty's Day package from my secret pal in that swap (jumping JoJo Ballard...OK...jumping was the first "J" word that came to my mind

) and, though I haven't looked through it yet, I'm sure it will tide me over.

There's no rush on the package...I'm just glad to have a pal that talks to me.

I feel bad I've been so busy lately.

Awww..all your packages have been great, and I'm sure this last one will be, too.
Oh...you will have to pm me and tell me when you DH's birthday is...wouldn't that be funny if he and my DBF's were on the same day??

Green is my favorite color, too! And I love St. Patrick's Day. I don't really do anything for it...but I love it. It is my grandpa's birthday today. He is too doped up on medicine right now to be alert and know what is going on, so we couldn't bring him cake or anything. He has an infection in the amputated leg that they are very worried about. They are trying to stop it from spreading.

Anyway....

Hi Melissa - I haven't been on for a couple days because my youngest dtr & I have had the flu. So, our St. Patty's Day wasn't quite what we had planned. However, I don't mind when one of the girls are sick because it makes us have to stop and stay home & I get to have one on one time with them and it's alot of cuddle time. I think we'll still be laying a little low this weekend - scrappin time!
What are your plans for the weekend? Another date?? You mentioned that you were divorced - does your ex take the girls any weekends?

Doing stuff to get ready for my brother's work, working longer at work, spending extra time with my bf (which is a nice way to be busy and something I really need right now!). Sorry I haven't been on as much. Oh...plus, I was busy making some things for your envie this morning (my most productive time of day)!

Things are going good.
Tomorrow is my day off, but I'm doing some stuff with my future SIL in preparation for the wedding (getting alterations done, picking out shoes...). Unfortunately, I won't be able to go to her bridal shower (have to work), but I am going to be getting something for her for the shower...any suggestions? They have a wedding gift list, but should you get stuff for the shower from that list or get something else not on the list?
Man...I thought for sure your floor would have been done and your kitchen back to normal by now! That would drive me crazy!

I'm glad to hear that you are so close to completion, at least. I really want to try and get your stuff out to you sometime this week. Can't promise, but it's my goal to shoot for.

We had a busy weekend full of birthday parties. My oldest had her party on Friday (sleepover, too) then my youngest had a party to go to Saturday & my nephew's party Sat. night! Not good for my diet! I did ok though.

My weekend was great. I did have a date Friday night that went very very well, or at least I think it did. It sounds like you were in birthday party city!! Did your daughter have a good time at her party? Are your kids off for Spring Break this week? What will they be doing? I remember having sleepovers at that age. I'm sorry you've been so busy at work! But I know how it goes! Enjoy your time with your boyfriend. When is the wedding? As for a gift, I usually get something off the list and try to give something else I think they'd like. My brother is getting married in Sept. and has registered at Target. I will get something off that list and then, I am also making them a quilt. Just think of something you use alot and no one thought to get you. Or is there something he likes to use, eat, etc when he comes to your house that you could get him.

The kitchen project wouldn't have taken so long if we hadn't had to squeeze work and kids activites in too.

But hubby is on nights right now so when he gets up on his day off, the last thing he wants to do is tile! But, we are done now except for puttying in the nail holes on the trim and doing a little touch up painting.

The next project will be the kids bathroom. We have to strip a large wallpaper border off of 2 walls, repaint, recaulk the tub, and then I get to do the fun part...decorate!!!

Right now, it's a sea blue with an underwater wallpaper border. The shower curtain is cream. It will be nice to get a patterned shower curtain and some accessories to match. The kids are old enough now to get some pretty stuff without worrying about them tearing it up.

Enjoy your day off tomorrow. I am off on Thursday and Friday this week. Took some personal time so I can spend the days with hubby. Our anniversary is Saturday...17 years

OH YES! I love everything! I needed some beach themed stuff! After living in Pensacola my whole life, I have 33 years of beach photos to scrap. LOL. I loved the photo corners and the metal clips and all of it. I am working on my Mickey layout. The hard part has been deciding what paper to use

You sent me so many wonderful choices last time. I had it all laid out and then my cat moved everything when she got in my closet. I almost took a few of her lives
