Hey gang, I saw Jarhead and thought it was an OK movie but it was a bit slow and boring as far as the storyline goes. Of course I was expecting it already so I was able to enjoy the movie cause I knew what to expect ahead of time. One of my friends warned me it wasnt an action packed movie about the army lol

Oh.. I bought jarhead but haven't watched it yet, I'll have to give it a shot tonight.. it looked good in the previews but nothing too exciting..

I agree in her shoes was great.. I watched it 3 times the first week I bought it.. once alone.. once with a friend and the once with the boyfriend!

I'd love to know what you think of PROOF.. I've been wanting that one but haven't gotten around to getting it yet!

Has anyone watched....walk the line? I wanna get that one just not sure if it's good or not.

walk the line was really good. i watched it a few weeks ago. i just love reese.

Proof was good. it was sortof hard to follow and i really didn't like how it ended. felt like it just left you hanging. but over all it was good.

Walk the Line is excellent. The acting by Joaquin and Reese is top-notch. A definite must-see.

I'm going to have agree, Walk the Line is a definite must see! both actors did such a great job!

I am with the crowd on Walk the Line it was a great movie! I also loved Proof. It was kinda hard to follow so keep that in mind. But if you liked Beautiful Mind with Russel Crowe then you will love Proof.

i also watched just friends today, and i really didn't like it. i think its stupid humor. i have two more movies to watch. maybe i'll watch them tomorrow.

Hello everyone. I watched Just Friends and thought it was pretty cute. I can't wait to see proof. I'm going to get it tomorrow bc it's bogo free day and i'm going to get rent. I saw RENT and was very upset by it. It basicly was telling people to have sex and get aids cause who cares about consequences. Everyone in the movie has aids. Also if you dont like musicals then you wont like this cause they literaly sing the whole entire script. You know most movies they sing then talk for a while but not this one. They sing everything.

RENT was based off the broadway musical...they're supposed to sing! The original script was based on Puccini's opera La bohème, the musical centers on a group of impoverished young artists and musicians struggling to survive in New York's Alphabet City neighborhood under the shadow of AIDS (in La bohème the disease was tuberculosis). Rent is the seventh-longest running Broadway musical as of March 1, 2006

It is not about promiscuity and a lack of concern for the consequences.

I just wanted to put that info out there. You have to know a little bit about the history before you really understand what's going on!

Last one I watched on the theater was Brockback Mountian. I liked it, but kind of sad aslo. No happy ending...

Anyone seen 40 years and a virgin or somehing, I didn't like that one, it was boring 2 hours comedian is kind of too long....

40 year old virgin---we saw it at the movie theatre. it was a date. lol. it wasn't too bad, some parts were funny. but i don't really like stupid humor. i think the funniest thing about that movie was the people sitting next to us. they had to be in their 60's. lol. when they movie was over they just looked at each other in disguist and a bit confused. wonder what they thought about the movie and why they wanted to see it. lol

yes, we saw failure to launch on saturday. such a great movie, and matthew took his shirt off too. lol. i really liked it even though sarah jessica parker was in it. i don't care for her. but she played her roll well.

In the summer we go to the drive in whenever the movies change. We did see 40 year old virgin and thought it was cute. I knew that Rent was a musical and involved AIDS, but I love the music from it (sang it in chorus) and can't wait to watch it. Well, have a good day everyone!

lol, i watched another today. it was PRIME. it was a good movie, not one that i would buy though. but i did like the whole idea of the girlfriend telling her theropist about her boyfriend who ended up being his mom. the movie ended crappy though.

Really? Hubby and I have been waiting to get this one. Our local video store only ordered one copy and it got checked out that day then when it came in the next person to get decided to buy it! They stinking sold it grrrrr so now Im mad and going to blockbuster as soon as my monthly plan is up. But I really wanted to see it so thanx for telling about it!

Y'all are CRAZY! My hubby loves movies, but I would much rather be working in my scraproom or on the computer. I like movies when I do watch them, but I just hate the idea of sitting down for two hours and doing nothing ... And it seems weird to "spend time" with my hubby in a dark room, not talking. beautifully put, if you can get past the fact that most of the characters are sick, its about love and loyalty, friendship and love, and defeat and victory. it may be racy in its content for some but it is a wonderful story. RENT was very ahead of its time, and tackled alot of really hard topics. I have seen the musical 5 times, own the movie and listen to the soundtrack constantly. its beautiful and tragic. many of the movies we watch on a daily basis dont have the substance this movie has.. dont get me wrong, i am not saying to move to alphabet city, get aids and sing about it... all i am saying is that it shows another culture of people and how they live with loss and defeat on a daily basis. dont like musicals... okay.. but dont bash just because you dont get it.

Oh joy now im accused of bashing lol I have seen people have a tendancy to blow things out of proportion. I just was giving my oppinion of the movie. I didnt like it and those were the reasons why. But im glad that there were people who liked it and were moved by it.

I got to watch walk the line last night. My DH and I liked it a lot. Anybody seen any good comedy movies lately? I want to laugh just don't know a good movie for that.

good movie to laugh is 'without a paddle' if you haven't seen it. i loved that movie.

just friends is a good one for a few laughs. it's pretty cute. unless you've already seen it, i can't keep track of whose seen what anymore!

Don't get me wrong, I didn't accuse you of bashing, just wanted to let you know what the story was. I can understand why you wouldn't like it. The story isn't everyone, but the music is fantastic.

A funny movie??? Have you ever worked in the food service industry?? Get the movie " Waitin' "!! It is so freaking hilarious! I died! But then, I have worked in the service industry ... If you haven't you may not get it ... and I would not recommend this as a family movie!! NOT A FAMILY MOVIE!!!! just in case you missed that

okay ladies, i posted a new challenge. its a monthly themed challenge in the challenge thread. only one taker so far. every month i put up a different theme with one or two lo ideas. this month is st. patricks day. you have to: 1. do a lo of st. patricks day-how you dressed, the foods you ate... or 2. use a clover on your lo. there are no points or prizes, just fun. i know some of you want to join. i'll even give you a hint for next month: Spring! I found out today that I'm going to Nottingham with the karate club next weekend!! It's a camp there, 3 days with karate twice a day. And the rest of the they it will be NOTTINGHAM BABY yeah!!!

Today I will go to the LSS here, and watch the new stuff they got, we finally got some Primas and HS stuff. I also need to clean today. this evening we will be some girl going to the movies(norwegian politics in 70's one) So that meand candy time!!! ( I try to eat less candy, should be aloud in the movies right?)

Tomorrow is work day. I think I will take her to the theather to watch NannyMcFee
