Cutting Sugar Sheets

Hi all! I found some cute sugar sheets at the store tonight and was wondering if I can cut them out on my regular cricut?

What was the pressure, blade depth speed, etc. used?

you can cut them with the regular Cricut BUT, you run the risk of getting food particals down in your machine which could end up being a problem. The other issue is do you really want to cut food in the same machine you have been cutting paper, chipboard (or whatever other materials you may have cut). Just not very sanitary.

I only cut paper with my machine and would CLEAN it before I were to cut anything food related.

Found out that you CAN cut them on a regular cricut. The sheets have a protective film on the back that peels away, so there is no touching of the cricut mat.

I CLEANED my machine and the blade housing and put in a fresh blade. I set the machine to Med pressure, low speed and 4 for depth. It cut no problem.

After I cut out my stuff I tasted the sugar sheet. EWW! Not very tasty, but hopefully it will be easy enough to decorate with.
