Stamp Pad Storage

I'm just wondering how most of you store your ink pads. Flat or vertical and in what kind of storage space. I have so many now I am not sure what to do with them. Thanks

Right now, flat, but stacked in layers because I just don't have enough room. I've got a plastic box (in case a lid comes off, no soaking through), and a compartmented plastic box for ink.

What I really need a better way to store is my cat's eyes and dewdrops. Digging through piles of those drives me crazy.

I have one some of those snapware containers with all of my rubber stamps and ink pads. I got them on clearance at Kohl's a while back. I like them because I can add more trays as my collection grows.

I store mine flat - and I bought a really nice storage unit on *bay - all of my pads are in there nice & neet. I think it holds over 60 of my SU pads.

I store mine flat and non-SU pads I store upside down so the ink stays on top!

I store mine in one of those 4 drawer units by jetmax (from Target or AC moore) I've seen people use the old cassette holders too.

I was told by my Stampin Up Demonstrator to store them horizontally. I store them in a file cabinet,becuase I can stake many of them. I have so many myself I found that the File cabinet works Great!! Hope that this helps.

Stored horizontaly and upside down. I have mine in a snap on container but I like the spots better so all my pads are smaller ones.

Cassette holders are great but where do you find them anymore?

I have SU's ink pad storage thingy. But I've got more ink pads in a drawer too.

I don't quite understand the storing them upside down thing. I've been stamping since the mid 80's and have ink pads from back then that say on them do not store upside down. I have never stored any of mine upside down and they all work just fine. Even my ones from the mid 80's are still working great and I have never re-inked any of them.

I would think storing them upsidedown would cause them to leak. Just my opinion...

YAY, I'm not the only one that still has stamp pads from the 80s!

One of them has dried out, but that's from multiple military moves and being in boxes in a lot of heat and nasty lack of humidity before I could find it again, but otherwise, they still work.

They don't leak upside-down, surprisingly. I've been storing most of mine that way since I got started again with stamping, and I haven't had a leak problem.
