YEs Hobby Lobby has them, but they aren't in the sb section but in the art section with drawing pads and stuff. I think it runs $5 for a pack of 7-10 sheets..
Sometimes I use the cardboard that is on the back of tablets if it seems thick enough. Most of the time I buy matte board -left over scraps at our LSS. A 5x7 sheet will cost me .20 cents! I run it through the die cut machine to get my letters then I doctor them up.
Printing shops have them as well and since they do not typically sell them, they use them in the back for making tablets, you can usually work a deal and get exactly how many you need:)
Yes I need some too. I have to do that Elsie Flannigan challenge. I need a lot in case I mess up. But I also want to use my Sizzix dies with the chipboard. I tried it and the embellishments really looked nice.
Thanks! I'm all set, I am going to order the 960 pieces of it for $60. After I use it and trade things its worth it. It only comes to .07 for an 8 1/2 X11 sheet I'm psyched!
just watch the thickness. not all chipboard is created equal. I bought some form Sizzix thinking it was the thick stuff. Well, it wasn't. It was the thinnest stuff that is almost as thin as thick cardstock.
I've been wanting to do this too, but to be honest, didn't want to pay the $9 for the "42 pc pre-cut" alphabet that is in a font that I wasn't really that happy with. I think I'll look at my local Office Depot first and see if I can buy a few sheets. Atleast this way I can check the thickness. Does anyone know if the Office Depot stuff is acid-free????
One of the girls posted they are I believe. I am buying the .22 gauge ones.. the thickness matters but I want something that will easily go thruogh my sizzix
