Beginner & Copic Markers...what colors???

Hi.. Planning on purchasing some Copic markers to use on some card designs...

Any recommendation on which color set to purchase as a starter set??

I am planning on getting one of the 36 sets...but not sure on A B C or D....

I appreciate your thoughts.... & Help ?? : )

I wouldn't get a whole set of 36 I would get 6 or 8 markers first. I did greens blues and browns to start. You can make dozens of different flowers with those basic three color families.

I feel the same - buy a few that are basics and then add along the way. Happy Coloring

I wuold buy a few colors that you would/could use for a lot of the items you stamp with. For me it's blues/reds/greens/yellow and brown. Then go from there. I love my Copics!

I bought the A set at christmas... Love it! There are enough colors that I can make do with these only for a while. They have a wide assortment. Depending on what you plan on coloring. I do alot of people and girly stamps and I have definatly enough to start. Skin tones, lots of pinks and purles. The other great thing is that you get a few of each color family so you can start playing with blending... which as far as I am concerned is the best thing about the copics. I ordered the B's now and am waiting for them to show up. Ebay has great deals on these. I could have made due with my A's only but more is better and I am thourouly addicted to them now!

I started out with set A with a coupon instead of buying individuals. Then from there, I bought a customized set of the colors I liked and will use most often. You can choose the colors you want...glad I went that route instead.
