Its snowing in Ohio, just minor flurries, nothing major. But the wind is biting cold. UGH.

Well we have a mini chinook happening which means warm winds coming in over the mountains and melting all the snow. The wind is crazy, the roads are a mess and it is dropping below freezing tonight and planning to snow again by Friday. I have shoveled 2 4ft drifts already and have choosen to let it blow and pile up. The kids can do it all again once they are home from school.

That sounds crazy. Chicago is cold and lightly snowing. Texas, now I could live here. When I walked out side earlier I pulled up the sleeves of my sweater.

Whoever wants our snow is welcome to it lol! I need to go out tomorrow or Friday and my car is snowed in. From the side I can see the drifts are up to my car doors... DH is going to have fun with that

LOL dont you just love southern Alberta Ashley. It snows a ton than blows it all into a bigger pile on the east side of everything.

Welcome to all the new kids on the block!! (from another KNOTB'er!) LOL

I never saw the point in shoveling while it was still snowing . . . but then I've never lived anywhere where it snowed that much! LOL

We had a little snow just before Thanksgiving. The kids were to have 1 more day of school. My youngest came into my room, looked out my window and said "Snow, don't let me down!!" it was soooo funny!!

LOL no matter how much or hard it snows here in southern Alberta they never cancel school. The one and only time it has happened was last year because the power was out to half the city.

It would take 15 feet of snow in less than an hour for anything to close here because of snow... even then I'm sure they would find a way to be open

Being 7.5 months preggers in the winter is something I could really get used too though... Mommy Parking at the doors of all the stores and NO shoveling

LOL and dont forget you are a little furnace too so you dont get cold like the rest of us. I had 2 of my kids in August and that was awful way too hot LOL.

This sounds like where I'm from...Buffalo, New York! It took an act of like 20 inches of snow, below zero temps, and ice for the schools to close.

I live in Georgia now but man...I do remember growing up in the snow. When it snows here (just a little bit) they shut it down! Schools close, all government buildings, public transportation, colleges, you name it! And it only takes about 4 inches to do it. Georgia doesn't have the equipment to move the snow out of the way...it gets crazy here.

ok I have pics of the snow Buffalo NY got in the last 2 days go to my gallery I have more on my fb.com page...its crazy here & I live outside of Buffalo where we has a driving ban still in affect..more snow to come yeah!!!!!!!!

is there a consensous about what people prefer? signed or not? or maybe could we all say our preferance then have that on the birthday list. I have to admit. I hate writing in cards. my handwritting is terrible so I feel like I"m ruining them. When I give a homemade card I make my husband do the writing and don't look at it again.

LOL!! I hate my handwriting most of the time too. But sometimes it's nice! (wish I could control when that is!)

I don't care one way or another. Of course, if you write on a separate piece of paper, then you can claim your card is 'eco-friendly' in that it can be reused! LOL And if you make a 'traditional' style card, and use a paper, and then have a little note saying when they send it to either use a separate paper, or only write on the 'non card front' side, then it can be reused as a post card too! hahahahahahaha!!

I still have all my cards from the last bday card swaps & I think I prefer that it is signed that way I know who I'm getting card from.Sometimes the post its come off before I can check in & say who I received card from.Hope all you ladies are enjoying a relaxing weekend.

I like mine signed. I keep all my cards that are made for me. That way I have a lil someting from all you that you created and I get to keep it forever.
