Dollar Tree Stores

I know I should never go in there because I always end up buying more supplies that i use.. but they are a $1!!

well today i found kits.. again $1

in them are...
2 patterned paper sheets (12x12)
3 premade tags with ribbon
1 vellum sheet
1 sheet of alphabet stickers
and 1 pkg of letter embellishments


i was AMAZED!!!

i suggest if you are trying to save some money.. this is a great find!

i shop the dollar tree for a lot of my scrapbook stuff.

I was quite surprised when I went in there a few weeks ago.... they had some really cute scrapbook stuff. Just like anywhere else though, its total hit or miss, at mine anyway! Congrats on the great finds!

Same thing in our area - I guess it depends when you check to see if there is anything scrapbook related. I find that true, too with Big Lots, depends on timing.

I was so bummed, I went to the local Deals store and usually they have lots of scrapbook stuff for $1, but this time they didn't have much at all. I did buy some chipboard though and when I got home and took it out of the pack, it was horrible. It was really thin and it broke easy.

On a better note, I went to Gabriel Brothers and they had SO much scrapbook stuff for really cheap. I couldn't believe what all I got for $50 and it was nice stuff too!

I SOOOOO wish I had a Gabriel Brothers near me! My brother and sister in law shop there quite often and always tell me about the great deals they get and I am so jealous!!!!!!!

I love to buy letter stickers at the Dollar Tree. There's usually a lot of them. Yesterday I got some dimensional dots there too. And the clearance rack at Walmart is always a must when I'm in there. Went in yesterday and they had a cart with a bunch of flowers and ribbons in it for 25 and 50 cents. I also love to go into Hobby Lobby right after a holiday. Discovered this just after last Christmas, they had all the holiday stuff for 50% off! Did it again after Valentine's day too! I'll have to check out Big Lots. I think there's one not too far from me.

I found great jars at dollar tree yesterday--I'm obsessed with jars...for buttons, and ribbons, and foam stamps--I can't get enough!

OMG, I am so happy to hear that others are using the scrapbook supplies found in the $1 store, I was at my local $1 store last night and my jaw dropped, I could not believe they had a better selection than my local WM store. So, Needles to say I bought tons of stuff, maybe more than I need as a beginner but I am so excited to get my creative juices going.

I'm going to Dollar Tree tonight! I drive by everyday and have never been in!

Our Dollar Tree's selection is very limited. I wasn't too impressed the last couple of times I went in there. They have adhesive, but I'm leery to try it. They must have been out of all the cool stuff you girls are finding.

Deals is very similar to Dollar Tree, except there are some things that aren't $1, and they are clearly marked. Deals carries the "Miss Elizabeth" line of scrapbook stuff, and I found some large alpha vellum stickers that I adore.

While I definitely wouldn't buy any REAL food from these places, some of their scrapbook stuff is a good buy. I got the 9x12 three-drawer chest there for $5, and I keep my 8.5x11 and 8x8 papers in it.

My Dollar Tree doesn't have a ton of stuff but I have gotten a few things...some embellies and paper. It's nice that it's only $1!

Our Dollar Tree stores have TONS of scrapbooking items. I buy lots of nice stamps there, I've probably gotten 15. Soemtimes they come in packs of 2, so they're only 50cents a piece! I also buy fibers there as well.

we don't have a dollar tree and the one in the next town over isn't so great w/ the scrapbook stuff. The one past that though (in a town an hour away that we go to sometimes) is awesome! They have like half of a huge isle of ALL scrapbook stuff. It's great.

I like those Miss Elizabeth's organizer type things. They are for 12x12 papers and stuff and they are the hard plastic. In other brands they sell for about $5.00 or so. That's exciting

I just went to my Dollar Tree last week and got a few stickers! My store has a pretty good selection, but they always sell out fast!

I bought a bunch of those 12x12 cases... They made the best gifts for friends at crops... My Dollar Tree hasn't restocked them - I would love few more.

i haven't read all the way thru the post but the dollar stores are a great place to find nsbr items for scrapbooking... things to alter and for storage and whatnot... and even things to use as embellishments. Also... FLOWERS!!!

Buy the flowers at the dollar store and take them apart... it's awesome. For sb'ing there's no difference between the nicer ones at mike's and joann's than the cheaper ones at the dollar stores because you are taking them apart anyway... which is also ALOT cheaper than buying the big flowers that are made "for scrapbooking"... all you are paying for is a name, in my opinion.

Plus, fake flowers pulled apart gives you SOOOO many more choices and options as far as size, color, and type of flower. And it's way therapeutic to rip those things apart. LOL!

Try it out if you haven't. You'll love it!

I found out about a month ago that my $ tree store had scrapbook items - and a pretty good amount. I bought some pretty papger and some very cute embellishments. I recently made a card using one of the embellishments. There were three in one of the packs and four in the other packs.

I bought a bunch of cute rub-on for a wddding theme, but I am going to cut them up for romantic LO for my BF & I - which won't be a weddding theme *hehe* I also found SUPER cute cards w/ alphabets & romantic quotes. YAY!! I got a bunch of stuff there lately - check my blog.

It's a hit and miss ar my local Dollar Trees but I love the Miss Elizabeth 12x12 page protectors ...10 in a pack for a buck.

Big Lots also have great deals.

I was shocked to see that they carried sb supplies a while back. I have not been in a while though. I guess I will be needing to swing by there!

I have to agree about the flowers! I've found some pretty cool ones there but you have to search. We actually found some that looked similar to the Bazzill flowers that are velvety! And why are they so much fun to take apart?

I am so jealous!! I went to my dollar tree, and they only had a couple of things, and most was baby related. Since I don't have children, I was pretty much out of luck.

They had a good selection at the Dollar Store I went to. This was a fun trip because I was just wasting time while my car was getting serviced.

does anyone know if dollar tree exists in ontario? it sounds really good and im curious about it now

i have purchased tons of stuff from dollar tree. one time the manager showed me some boxes that had not even been open yet, and let me go through them and buy what i wanted! don't forget to check out other aisles at $tree. the hair accessories and jewelry have some great things to use; just think Outside the Box . here is a lo i did for my dd prom album; i used two different headbands that i cut apart for the page. so, i really like to shop at dollar tree! prom layout
