Can I use magazine clippings??

can i use magazine clippings without harming my scrapbook?!

scrapbook etc had an layout where someone used maghazine cutouts for letters, but i didnt think it was safe. but i do like the concept!

I don't see why not, as long as they don't touch your pictures. The ink from the mag. might not be acid free which would harm your pictures.

I would never do that! The paper has acid in it, if you really want to use it, photo copy it to acid free and photo safe paper. The color is going to fade soon also, so it will not look good in a year or so.

You can buy sticker letters that look like cut-outs from mags. Can't remember the brand name right now but I know I've seen them...

Most magazines are not acid free.

There are sprays you can buy which will make things safe to use in scrapbooks. Make It Acid Free and Archival Mist are two I can think of. The clippings alone are probably not archival safe.
