Directory of scrap stores by state

I was wondering if there exist a directory online of all the scrap/craft stores by state. I'm trying to prepare a trip and want to be able to hit the most scrap stores possible, and make sure that they are open before I go . I have been only able to find many partial list and it is very annoying.

I would suggest you list the areas you would be going through and submit a post asking for stores in those areas.

I just did that for a trip I went to in Dayton Ohio and two stores were suggested. I went to both and they were great!

Sometimes if you use a listing on a web site, you will find those stores have closed or moved.

Google scrapbooking roads. They have a pretty decent list by state.

check yellowbook. type in craft or scrapbook or something in the "type" part and select the state where you're going.

I would suggest that you call before you go to these stores. I know that at least 2 of the stores listed for my state are no longer in business.

Scrapbooking Roads is not the most comprehensive listing as they rely on advertisements (lss pay to be listed). I know of QUITE a few stores here in So Cal that are not listed and are awesome stores. I woudl try google your area and "scrapbook store". You can also check with the BBB or Chamber of Commerce in your city to see if they can direct you to one.

Thanks for all the info. I know there is a girl here in France that is trying to list all the scrap stores and website for free!! (What a sweetie) It is awesome, but time consuming. I am trying to start one of my own directories for the places that I travel to often. (MA, NH, France) Unfortunately, I work full time(and then some) and can't dedicate the time I would like for the research.
Oh well, I will continue to make some effort!

Don't I know that! In June my mom and I went to Great Falls, MT for a "girls only" week of shopping. I had the idea to see if I could find any scrapbook store s to visit while we were there. The one store that I found that was close enough to where we were going to be was gone! I was so mad.

I know most of the lists I've seen include the stores that are closed, and some stores that are open aren't on it.

I agree with a previous poster and ask for LLS in your area your visiting here on the boards.

I've done the same thing for Southern California but it has been difficult to keep up since I have a new baby. Great idea!!

A directory would be WONDERFUL! Although I have never seen one.

I have actually seen a printed book at one LSS that listed stores but the list was not extensive. It did list some for each state.

Simple Scrapbooks and Creating Keepsakes have lists in the backs of their magazines. Others might too. Memory Makers , perhaps?!

I know there are A LOT in Massachusetts! Go to yp.yahoo.com, then make the city/state "boston, ma". And then search "scrapbook" or "craft." You should find a few. There's the Crop Shop (Rockland, MA), Scrapbook Cupboard (East Bridgewater), Scrap Happy, etc. There are quite a few (10 or so). I know there's some in NH too. Or just do a google search.

Maybe in a few weeks when I have time on my hands, I'll add a list of US LSSs to my website. That would be very helpful.

I'll have to see if I can find the article on the french girl that did the website and contact her to see how she did it. I might see if I can start one on my website and try to let people contribute!! We'll see
