Stampendous Cling Rubber Stamps

Does anyone besides me HATE those Stampendous Repositionable Cling Rubber Stamps? Or what am I doing wrong? I discovered you are not to remove the cling from the back of the stamps, but with it they won't stick to the stamp block at all. I've ruined more projects because they've fallen off the block and I'm ready to pitch them all! Today I resorted to using my tape runner to add sticky, but there's no way you should have to do that. I've tried cleaning the block and the cling with alcohol and even that doesn't work. Grrrrr!

I've used several different brands of cling rubber stamps and haven't had a problem with them so far.
Haven't had the pleasure (?) of working with stampendous stamps yet, are they different from other cling rubber stamps?

What happens if you wash the cling surface with some mild soap and water? It sometimes helps the clinginess come back.

If the 'cling' part of the stamp is no good, you can try to peel the rubber stamp from it and re-mount it on ez mount cling foam. I would only do this as a last resort though.
