How do you ship your 12x12 paper/pages?

My issue here is the USPS Priority MailÂ® Medium Flat Rate Box is $12.35 to ship now! That is kinda expensive when you only want to ship a few pieces of paper/pages right? The flat rate box sounds good if I were sending a lot of paper or a whole album or something because paper gets heavy. But not for only a few pages.

I'm in a swap right now and only need to send 2 pages to multiple peopleâ€¦anyone have any other ideas?

These are the dimensions for that box:

I had the same issue and finally gave up! I've heard that small pizza boxes are great, even cutting the boxes so it's 2 flat pieces of cardboard that you can tape together with the pages in the center. I found that no matter how I shipped them, it was always expensive because of the size.

In the past I have gotten the thick paper that you lay down when you paint( it's in a roll and usually brown, not sure what its called), and made an envelope out of that. I sandwich the layouts between 2 pieces of cardboard or chipboard. I send it as a 1st class package. I write on the package DO NOT BEND on the front and back. I weigh it and pay for the postage online. It lets me print out a label then I just drop it in the mailbox. It costs under $4 and arrives within the week. It's worked for me.

You ca buy manilla envelopes in a big size and then sandwich between chipboard and if it's light weight ship it 1st class and of course mark do not bend

Do you know how much it is when you ship with the manilla envelope?

When I used to sell my premade layouts online, I sent them in pizza style boxes that I got on Uline. You can also get heavy duty flat mailers for just 12x12 paper or flat pages where there are no raised embellishments.

As long as your not over the 1st class weight limit I think it was just a few bucks at most but fees may have changed a little since then

I almost always use one of these priority boxes (not the flat rate ones.)

Priority Mail Box - 1092
12-1/8" x 13-3/8" x 2-3/4"

Priority Mail Box - 1095
15-1/4" x 12-3/8" x 3"

(I prefer the 1092 box.) They are great for the 12x12 paper. Not very expensive, depends on the weight and location it is going to.
