Using staples/staplers with LOs

I am on my way to go shopping and need to invest in some staples and a stapler. I am not talking about the Fastenator, I already use those. I am talking about the small petite or regular size staples you see people using on ribbons in their LOs. Are there specific kinds to use or can you just go and buy the office kind? I don't want to ruin my LOs sometime down the road because I didn't buy staples that are "photo friendly".

MM makes pretty colored staples for a regular office stapler. honestly, I dont know the deal with regular staples, but i use them all the time!

I just use a regular office stapler and normal office staples.

I use reg office staples and sometimes the pretty colored ones!

I also have regular staples. When friends & I get together, we will see what colors the other have & then trade a few inches of staples...some people manage to find the coolest colors...so it's nice to share & see what we end up with.

I just use regular office staples unless I want colors. Then I use the MM ones.

Gosh, I just use my standard stapler from Office Max...I use regular silver(ish) staples too!

I use my regular office-type stapler and regular silvery staples. If I want colored staples for something, I just use my alcohol inks to color a section, and use them. If they get slightly scratched, you can touch up the staple with a q-tip that has been inked. Just touch it lightly to the staple and it covers the scratch.

CTMH sells a pivot point stapler which makes it easy to set the staples at different directions on your layout. They also sell colored staples - and they're all the standard size, so they'd work in a regular stapler, too. I love mine!

I found colored staples real cheap at the Dollar Tree! Real cheap means $1,

Staples can be good, they come in handy often! and yes, someone mentioned the color staples...they are cute too! You can can just buy the little mini one and carry it with you and it won't take up much space!

Well, I went and bought a small stapler, really cute, with some regular standard size staples. I only saw blue ones for the colored ones, so I'm going to hold off and just shop around. Hmmmm, Bugga, I was just in the Dollar Tree here and couldn't find any colored staples at all -- maybe next time??

I bought a mini stapler to keep on my scrap table so I don't have to keep running upstairs to use our household one. It's just a regular stapler that I bought in the office supply aisle of Walmart. It came with a box of standard size silver staples and a staple remover.

I was in Dollar Tree today and didn't see any colored staples. Maybe they're not in the scrap dept?

Funny this subject came up I was just complaining that one of the kidlets (or their friends who come over regularly to mess with my stuff & get in trouble....grrr....) broke my WAY old one that had to have been made in the 1980s. It was a really good one too. And, I need to staple some ribbon onto a lo I'm working on so I'll probably spend more then I need to at the local grocer rather then drive back to the city to get a discount.
I just use an office stapler. I have a MM one but have NO clue where it is at this time

They aren't in the scrapbook section. Look in office supplies.

I did look in the office section and only found their staplers with silver staple refill packs. Maybe mine just hasn't gotten them in yet. There were some pegs that were empty, maybe they were there and someone bought all of them?

Oh, and Judy, I'm glad that you like your stapler because that's the exact same one I bought at Walmart today!

Yeah, my stapler's ok. I don't use it on every layout so it suits the purpose. It would be nice if I wasn't so cheap and bought a big one with a long arm. My mini one doesn't reach very far onto my page and it doesn't open up flat like a regular stapler does. Hey, what do you want for a buck or two? lol
