Putting cardstock on your walls

I was thinking of cutting out different sized circles and put them in a section of my dd wall... what would you use to ensure they stick to the wall but at the same time be able to take them off without messing up the wall itself?? I look forward to hearing some ideas... Thanks Marcy

I once saw an idea in a magazine where they adhered the pp/cs to pieces of foam to give it a 3-d look. The ideas they showed were very cool and looked very contemporary. Some of the designs were 4 12x12 squares arranged in a square, rows of 3 12x12 squares, or cutting them into circles/different shapes and layering. Then you could attach velcro/some other adhesive to the back of the foam which would probably be easier to remove than trying to pull up the cs/pp from the wall directly.

There is 12X36 inch foam you cut in 3 then apply the paper to it and put a teeth photo hanger on the back. I think they sell it at Michael's or Home Depot

so as a short period decor... say a year... there's nothing you could put behind the paper to stick on the wall without messing the wall up? My dd is 14 and I'm sure her style will change every year lol... Just looking for something inexpensive to be able to do just that... there's so many beautiful papers to utilize... would love to be able to decorate with it

Perhaps you could laminate the paper, cut out the laminate & paper shapes together (cicles, flowers, etc.) Then, you could stick them to the wall with the 3M Wall Mounting Adhesive (it's the white gummy stick-em ups, that you use for frames or posters)...And being that they hold better & or stronger, you could also embellish the wall designs either prior to laminate or on top of em.

p.s. As a sidenote, large Prima Flowers stuck to the wall either randomly or in a line or a design, would also be very cute & creative! (not just for a daughter, but especially so for a scraproom!)

Interesting idea... I have framed paper before (instead of a photo) and hung the frames up. Hee hee...really nice use of pp I love. So fun to just look at it... (framing is nice too because the paper is still usable after you take it out).

Fun tack, it's blue, repositional, I don't think that it would mark the wall over time. But I do know that it makes paper "greasy".

I saw a show. The host took a poster, cut it into pieces that would fit into hockey card protectors, punced holes & connected with jump rings. She hung it from a curtain rod.

You could use repositional adhesive spray or spray stencil glue (for the kind of stencils for stenciling on walls), or Aleene's tack it over & over. With Aleene's just paint on a very thin layer and let it dry, then its ready to stick on. I'm using this on a couple of my unmounted rubber stamps and its working. It doesn't seem to be so sticky that it would damage your paint.

Those would be my suggestions. Hope it helps...

i used to work for sherwin williams and if you came into my site asking me about this i would have to tell you to just use some low tack tape. as long as you're not hanging any heavier than a piece of paper, regular Scotch tape (or blue painter's tape if you really want to be anal about protecting the walls) rolled up onto itself to make both sides sticky will hold the paper for as long as this suit's your dd's fancy.
