Suggestions for how to order baby scrapbook

I can't seem to figure out how I want to order my babies scrapbook. What have other people done? Chronologically? by subject (bath, sleep, play) ? Most of his first few months are pictures of sleep..lol

Mine is going chronologically. There are going to be some pages with pics from different dates but I am putting them in the book as the earliest date of the pics (so far the only ones that I know of that will have this is when the grandparents met her... not all were in the hospital, but the pages will still be in with the hospital pages). So basically from the hospital until now and continue. Makes most sense to me

I did a chronological one too. I selected all the best pics for each month and did 1 or 2 page LOs for each month depending on how many great photos I had for each month for the first year of her life.

I may have scrapped them based on how inspired I felt but they are put into the book chronologically.

The one I'm doing of my husband's baby/childhood years is chronological to the best of my abilities! lol My in-laws didn't have the pictures completely in order and many aren't labeled, so if they are out of order, then it's not because I meant them to be! hehe

I've noted this in other places, but I'll put it here too. If you have anything that you have kept notes on - firsts, accidents, funny stories, etc - I think it makes such a personal and awesome touch to put those notes into the scrapbook! My MIL kept what I like to call "Mom Notes" and I scanned those pages in and have included them in the books I'm making! I LOVE reading the stories of my husband and seeing when his first step/word/etc was.

I did my kids' chronologically and they get a kick out of seeing how fast they grew.(they are 14 & 16).
I think that is they way to go since there is so much change in that year. I've seen pages where someone has done a series of pics from month to month and that you can still do that (like a summary page) but overall, I'd go chrono for this one. Congrats on your baby... how old now??

I did my son's first year album in chronological order. Or, at least, it's organized that way. I don't necessarily scrap like that.

The album opens up with a title page then a two-page spread from the hospital. After that, I have layouts for stuff that occurred in the first month followed by a one-page summary layout for that month, 2nd month LOs, 2nd month summary, etc. all the way to one year. All I need to add are birthday and birthday party LOs to be "caught up".

Dodgercpkl.. that is a great idea, I plan on doing just that, things like how we call him the house tornado ( followed by a picture of his surrounded by things he pulled out of the diaper caddy)
