Puffy Paint and Heat Guns?

Someone posted that they use puffy paint and then run a heat gun over it. What effect does this give? And how do you do it? Do you wait for the paint to set a little, or do you heat it immediately (doesn't this make it run)? Please share more about this technique. (If you have a picture to share of the effect it creates that would be great!)

I do a technique using puffy paint and UTEE. There is a youtube video on it. You paint your chipboard with puffy paint, you can do it unevenly for evenly, depending on the effect you want, then while the puffy paint is wet, sprinkle UTEE on it. When it dries completely, heat it with your heat gun.

On this LO, the heart was done that way with white puffy paint

Ultra thick embossing enamel. You can use it just like any other embossing powder or do some cooler effects with it. Someone was just saying the other day how you could melt this on something, sprinkle some tiny beads on it, then add more UTEE and heat it and it had a really cool effect.

It's a really fun technique! Depending on how much paint you use, it can really puff a lot. I just paint it on and then heat set it right away.

The cupcake on here has puffy paint for frosting.
I just sprinkled on the glitter before heat setting and it stays put.
