Decorating Album Covers

What are some thing you do to the outside of your albums for decoration or to make them attractive, so they aren't just plain. Long ago my lss had a sale and I bought some album decorations, they were squares with words on them family friends memories some were quotes. I love them but cannot find them anywhere, like different variations so I am looking for some ideas to spice up my front covers

Do you mean the entire album, or just the cover?
I just decorated the cover of a fabric album I made. I used acrylic paint and letter stamps and stamped my phrase on there.

I think you can use chipboard letters with a good adhesive to spell out maybe your family name or the year or the event or something.

Another option that I was thinking of trying on fabric albums was iron on transfers....they have all sorts of stuff out there and they even have the kind you can print from your own computer, so you can completely personalize it.

Oh, yeah, and those crystal dots, you can use those to spell things out and stick them on the front.

Look in the wood craft section of your craft store. They sell cute little wood cut outs that you can paint yourself and then glue them onto your scrapbook cover (good for the vinyl albums).

As far as phrases go, you could always mount any kind of quote or poem onto card stock and then glue them on the cover....
Basically.....I think that anything you use on a scrapbook page can totally be used on an album cover!
