acetate sheets?

Hi...I saw this cool video on youtube that showed a glitter stamping technique on acetate. Where can I find these sheets? I scoured through M's and J's and asked there. I see something on here that says embossable window plastic..is that the same thing? I bought glitter and all other sorts of things to do a project, but no acetate sheets. Anyone know where I can get it? Or is it under a different name? Thanks

Do you have any overhead transparencies? I think they're the same thing.

I bought some at HL over near the scrapbooking stuff. You might be able to find it at an Office Max or Office Depot. I saw a video where someone used the plastic that came from something they bought at the store.

unfortunately, we don't have HL here...but what a great store. We had them wnen we lived in Texas.

Michaels now sells a pad of thick acetate. I found it with all the scrapbooking papers. Its nice and thick, and if you use a coupon its a pretty good price too. The other thing I use is the thick acetate presentation covers (clear) that I get at the office supply store. I got a package of 50 for around $30.

I was all over m's today..and even asked for help. We scoured that store. I wonder if the sheets here on scrapbook.com is what I need.

I use packaging (like cricut cartridge packaging) for my acetate needs. It's free and I'm not putting it in the environment....I put enough paper scraps out there. I don't think it's archival but I'm not to worried about that.

I just buy either overhead transparencies or those sturdier acetate binder covers (they emboss beautifully) from my Officeworks store. They aren't acid-free but they'll do for cards. I did find some acid-free ones at an LSS somewhere, so they are available. Ask/search for clear card-stock. It sounds whacky, but that's what they called it. Maybe you can order some on-line?

I bought this at Michaels a while ago. But you may want to check there again, because it was still there at my store the last time I was in. A pack of 25 sheets was around $10. It was in the isle with the scrapbook paper.

ah..thanks..I was going to make an order here...but I didn't see this when I was looking for the sheets.

The acetate I bought is the Recollections brand in a pad with a brown cover. Its called clear craft plastic. It was in the scrapbooking paper area.
