The envelope punchboard by American Crafts

I purchased an envelope punchboard last year, haven't used it yet.... as my mojo has been off. Now I would like to make custom envelopes to go with my card sets. Has anyone made any envelopes with this tool and what are you thoughts on it?

I thought it was great, especially since I never have the right size envelopes for my oddly sized cards.

WRMK also have a tool on their site that you can put in measurements for your cards (if they don't show on the sticker on your punch board already) and get the match your card size.

I love mine and use it for every card i make. I dont buy envelopes. It is so much easier to make one to fit.

I use my Scor-Pal to make my envies. I just feel better when my cards and envies match. I spend a lot of time on my cards, so I want to send it in a nice wrapper.

I agree don. I like to use different colors of thin cardstock for my envelopes and sometimes stamp them as well. Its so nice to send a cheerful looking envelope along with my card.

A crafter could decorate a plain envie with stamps or drawings to personalize it.

Yes i know but i love the pop of color i get each time i make an envelope to match my card. Besides its fun.

I use this online calculator which never let me down when it comes to EPB.

Before you start look at the sample picture of the envelop or box so you can determine which sides of your item are the length, width, height, depth etc. and just follow the provided measurements and the punching and scoring instructions.

You can choose between the metric and imperial measurements. The imperial measurements come with fractions and not decimals.

Can you give us an example of the math formula you use in order to create a personalized envelope for a flat card and for a card with raised embellishments, i.e. 3D flowers?

I have the punch board and it's great! Super easy to use, the measurements are right on the board. I also found directions online on how to make little card boxes that 4 or 5 cards and envelopes will fit in to give as gift sets to my friends.

I use a Scor-Pal with a Scor-Envi, no math required. For odd sized cards I lay the card on paper, mark the length and width, then add for the height.
I also have a notebook with all my past dimensions and diagrams, so I don't have to reinvent the wheel each time.
