Any Ideas for Interview Questions for Kids About Teachers?

I'm hoping to make a scrapbook for my daughter's Kindergarten teacher, featuring a photo of each of the children with answers to a series of questions about her teacher.

I was hoping to be able to do something similar to Stacy Julian's http://shortpersonsmom.blogspot.com/2009/03/mom-according-to-short-person-two-weeks.html , but I'm not doing a great job of altering them.

I was hoping there were some creative people out there with some ideas about what might be some good questions.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I think it would be cute to just ask the children why the love their teacher.. kids come up with the cutest things to say and I'm sure they would be pretty funny too! Love the idea!!

Who is answering the questions, the teacher or the kids?

My cousin did an album for her grandson's first grade teacher. She asked the kids, "What is one thing that Mrs. Jensen ALWAYS says?"

The answers were a hoot!

She also asked, "What do you think Mrs. Jensen does when she's not at school?"

Mrs. Jensen laughed so hard when she got the album! She laughed and cried and said over and over how much she'd cherish it.

What a wonderful gift idea! I am sure the teacher will love it. So for questions...how about.
How do you know when teacher is happy?
How do you know when teacher is angry?
What was the most fun thing?
What was the hardest thing?
If teacher wasn't a teacher what do they think she would be?
If they made a movie about teacher who would play her?
What super hero or cartoon character would most likely hang out with teacher?
If teacher could have three wishes what do they think she would wish for?
just some ideas to get you going I hope give some suggestions too. Once again great idea, good luck with it.

I was going to suggest the exact questions you link. The answer the questions about what their teacher does when she not teaching, what makes her happy or sad, something she always tells you and most importantly what do you think she was like when she was in kindergarten.

I would say since the kids are in kindergarten keep the questions pretty simple. I like the ones about things the teacher says all of the time or what the teacher does when she's not at school. Even my 7th graders seem amazed that I do normal stuff like go to baseball games and movies!

I agree with the previous post...keep it simple, they are young and have short attention spans so too many questions might bore them and you want to keep it fun.

This is a great idea, though, I love it!

Thank you so much for the help. I really like a lot of the answers-- especially the one about what the teacher does after school. I bet that gets some interesting answers lol.

I plan on limiting the questions to 5, and it is nice to have several to choose from now.

you did say Kindergarten?
and not to be a pill but you don't want it to appear that you are grilling the kids.
Last thing you need is some kid saying "Some strange lady asked me a bunch of questions" and having a mother freak on you.

Thanks for the concern. I want to assure you that I won't be scaring them

It's a private school and the class size is only 8 kids. Since it's requested that we help in the classroom as much as we can, most of the kids and parents know me.

But, you bring up a good point so maybe I'll email the parents ahead of time just to let them know. Or, maybe I can get them to interview the kids at home and email me the answers since I'm not sure how I'd sneak it around the teacher anyway! I hadn't gotten that far in my thought process...

I think letting the parents know is an excellent idea,,,,head any problems off at the pass,,,

I think i'd limit the questions to 2-3, though (alot of them won't have the attention span for more) and maybe you could even let the parents know exactly what questions you are going to ask the children, that is if you don't have the parents ask on their own

you can also vary the questions to each kid ... maybe have 5 or 6 to choose from, but only ask each kid 2 or 3, depending on their answers.

I'd love to see some of the answers to the question about what the teacher does after school.
