Layout ideas for 1st year baby scrapbook as gift

I am putting together a couple scrapbooks for a friend of mine; one of her daugthers 1st year and one for her baby on the way. I am trying to think of creative ways to set the pages up so she can just put the 4x6 photos right on the page with no cutting etc. Of course, that limits how many pictures I can have per page.
Also, here's my list of things to scrapbook. Can you think of anything else I am missing?

-Ultrasound pictures
-Belly shots Mommy showing off her growing belly
-Baby Shower
-Welcome baby pics taken in the hospital (pics with all the family)
-Pics of Baby and Big Sis meeting for the 1st time
-Baby going home pics
-Baby at 6 weeks

-Baby's Birth announcement scrapbooked
-Baby's hand and foot prints (I took scrapbook pages to the hospital when I had both of the girls and Craig asked the nurses to get their hand and feet stamps on the scrapbook pages. The nurses were really nice about it.)

-Baby's first tub bath (this is after their little umbilical cord stub falls off)
-Baby's first 4th of July
-Baby's first Halloween
-Baby's first Thanksgiving

Wow - you're really going to do all of that? That would take a couple of albums

I think it's a bit overwhelming to capture all the firsts. Published baby books never really worked for me with all the firsts everywhere.

When Chris (CMLeach) did an album with calendars, I knew it was for me! So I made many as gifts since then.
