stacks in pocket page

I have about 100 pictures from a "month of camping" last Spring. I thought about making maybe 4 pages of layouts and explain the story then make a few pages with pockets to hold about 15-20 pictures each pocket. The person looking at the album would just slide out the stack out of a pocket and thumb through to view the pictures.

I am not sure how to handle the plastic sleeve page protector. Guess I would just cut a slit to get to the stack. The pockets would be made of paper with accordion type sides. I have not seen anything like these pockets to purchase.

I know another option is to make a mini album of the event but I really want to keep the pages in my yearly album and not in a separate small album.

Has anyone tried this?

I have got the really, really cheap, flat, plastic photo "albums" from the dollar store that have individual 4X6 sleeves that are sealing together at the top so you can flip through them. I cut the cover and the backs off and then attached the back sleeve to the page, added a fancy strip of paper and embellies at the top to cover the ugly seam, a few tabs on each sleeve and woila and mini album attached to the page. Yes, then I cut a slit in the 12X12 page protector to allow the photos to be slid through. The trick with cutting slit in your page is too use a hole punch at either of of the slit (that way it won't "run" and rip).

I hope that makes sense, I will see if I can find a pic...

I found this page, not what I was talking about but this one I matted each photo on a progressively bigger mat and then attached at the top with hinges and then you flip through them:

Also, I have made a pocket, put the photos in a stack with a brad through them and attached a string to the brad and back to the pcoket so them won't go missing (still attched to the page):

I'm scrapping pages from my Grammy's funeral today using divided page protectors (see above post!). Works great! I've used glue dots to add an embellishment here & there on the outside of the divided page protectors. I'm really happy with how it's turning out.

I'm with Sarah. Use the photo sleeve page protectors. I've started using them for those "extra" photos you want included. I love them.

I think if you make a pocket and put 15-20 photos in it, you'll have a BIG lump in your album.

I think I will try those photo sleeve page protectors. I was just in Hobby looking at them trying to decide. They're on sale this week.

Bxr- you are probably right, I might have a big lump in the page with a pocket.
