Have you taken any Cricut "classes"?

Perhaps I'm just a dork but...I'm interested in how to really use my Cricut. I love what I've been doing with it but I see what everyone else is coming up with and all of the great original svg. files and I want to know how to do THAT. Any thoughts? Online classes? Tips?

My biggest goal right now is how to use it to cut a design that has different colored details... not just silhouettes.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

I agree with you. I hate having to sit and read the little book and then still have my things come out wrong. I would give anything to have a class that was hands on with someone showing me what to do.

Try Joann Fabrics web site, look for locations which have "Creative University Classes". They offer alot of different Cricut classes.

I just recently took a class. Cricut 101 basically and i learned ALOT! So if you can get in one do it. Its worth the money and worth the time away! LOL

Thank you all for replying! I just talked to someone who said they took a class at a local scrap store and liked it a lot. I'm still going to check out some online/ DVD stuff so I can learn at my own pace. I hate feeling like such a thick skull but seriously it's like Photoshop, you'll never learn all of it.

If anyone has any other thoughts or ideas I'd love to hear them!

I know what you mean. I have had my Cricut for nearly 3 years and I know I am not able to do 1/10 of the things that it actually will do. Heck, I was so excited when I learned to shadow! Really made my letters pop on a LO!

I checked out some online stuff. You tube has a wealth of info and I've started checking at the craft stores (JoAnn's, Hobby Lobby, Michaels, and a couple of my local scrap stores) and they all have something. I think my biggest thing is that I just need to play. I am going to have to get some older paper and just fiddle around until I know what I can do.

I have SCAL and Photoshop so part of me is limited by my overwhelmed brain. There are really few limits to what can be done at this point so I'm short circuiting just thinking about it.
