12 x 12 photo pages

So I was really excited to learn that I can turn my pictures into 12x 12 scrapbook paper...but I had no idea it was so expensive. They are about $6.99 each page on shutteryfly.com. Has anyone done this before? Is it worth the money? I was going to do it with some pics from my cousins wedding. I want to make her a book for her wedding anniversary!

If you have a Cosco membership, it's cheaper, I think about $3 a page.

I've not seen this yet. Does the picture get that 'blurred' cloudy look to it? or stay as sharp as a small picture?

If you've got a good file (enough data, sharp in focus image), you'll get good results. It's just like blowing up an image to 8x10 or 11x14, just different dimensions.

Hey! I just ordered some 12 x 12 digi sb prints on scrapbookpictures.com. The prints were $2.49 each and shipping was $5.99 ($2.00 for regular mail). I can't vouch for quality as I have not received my prints yet, but I have read good reviews in the forums. Another site to look at would be sbtoshare.com. Hope this helps!

If you check out my gallery I have just completed 3 LO's (within the last week) using the 12x12 photos from Costco. They were $2.99 each, quality was excellent.

Just remember though that if your main image is near the edge of your photo it will be lost when enlarged to a square.

I just went to Costco online and it says:

Those pics are so cool! I had no idea you could get pictures in a 12 x 12 format! I will save those for real special pictures, wish I had done that with a couple of my Minnesota landscape pics, but not going to do more lo's of the same thing so I will wait for another great picture!

I'll definately post a review of the images next week after they come in. I can't wait to see the finished product!

Oh good! I had saved my digi LOs as 12x12 so I wasn't sure about their enlargements. I'm glad you figured it out!

I use a company called sbtoshare.com
a 12x12 paper printout is $1.50 (plus shipping).
They also have a thicker paper.

There is another site that prints 12x12 (on real photo paper-not inkjet or laser) called http://www.Polkadotpotato.com Their prints are less that $3 and are very good. (I own a camera store and am very picky about prints that I can't do myself.)

Oops, just checked their site and the prints are $3.50. I got mine whe they were having a sale....

Ok, my prints came in on Saturday and they are gorgeous! I had my pages printed as 12X12 on matte paper without a border and the digi LOs fit perfectly in the 12X12 sb frames I purchased at Michaels. I would definately recommend scrapbookpictures.com!

Hey Ya'll....I've ordered several different sized pics from scrapbookpictures.com and they are fabulous!! I've order 2X2 for those events where I have lots of pics but don't want to use a whole album for one "small" event...then I've also printed 3X3 and 12X12. What I LOVE about them...is that they actually shrink to size or enlarge to size without cropping or distorting my pics in any way at all. The 12X12 was crystal clear. Let me say though...that I'm not sure it it's the quality work that they do (although I'm certain that it is) or if it has anything to do with the pixils on my camera.

I can actually do this from home with one of my photo programs and print them in my printer. I have an Epson R1800 that will print as large as 13x19
