I am new to this mb and was wondering what albums ya'll have used for your baby books. My dd is 3 months and I haven't started on her book yet because I can't decide on an album. I currently use CM albums for family books, but was thinking of using a top-loading album. I've seen the Dalee albums online. I like the pink gingham and pink linen. Has anyone used these? What other albums would you recommend?
i have only been scrapbooking since jan of this year i was given a top load and hated it.so i when looking and got one for my self have to say the first album i got was creative memories and i love it. i have since started a second family album, a grand parents(5x7)album and baby albums for all 3 of my wonderful children and i didnt have second thoughts about what i was going to use for my baby albums i fell in love with the cm's baby albums the minute i saw them im so pleased with the way they are turning out i have even expanded them farther and gone in to early childhood for my 2 older children. i really like the cm baby albums. best of luck with what ever you choose and may you be as happy with your choice as i am with mine.
Dear Bailey's Mommy, Congradulations on your precious daughter, Bailey. I made a baby album for my youngest grandson, Taj, who will be 2 on Aug. 29, 2001. I used a 12x12 Pioneer top loading album "Baby Blue". I really like it. I had to go to a second album for his first birthday even though I had added several refills. The album was becoming to big because I had included all the baby shower cards from 2 showers and the cards sent at Taj's birth. I had only to pull the pgs. out and exchange them so I would have the baby book in the correct order according to the time line. It is very easy to change the order of your top loading album pages. I was pleased with the final completion and so was my daughter, Suzy. CM albums are nice but if you discover that you need to have pg 3 before pg 2 not after , you are in "BIG TROUBLE". In other words the only way to more pages in a CM album is to redo the pg. However, there is a way around this and that is to put a paper on top of the CM white pg and to only attach it to the CM white pg by its 4 corners. That way if you do need to change the order of the album pgs. you can just use "undu" to loosen the top paper with all the photos and etc. and then you can still attach it to the desired CM pg. **Undu** is a liquid that has a spoon type tool at the lid and after using it you can then use the same adhesive on the new CM pg. Anything that is loosen by Undu can later be used again with no problem. ** Creative Keepsakes has a book on Scrapbook pgs for Babies. You can buy it online at http://www.creativekeepsakes.com or just look at it at yout local book store. Happy Scrapping, You can do it, enjoy yourself and make sure that you journal so in years to come any one can pick up Bailey's Baby Album and know who is in the photos and the story behind it, if you want them to know.
BM, It's me again. You will need to trim the paper that you place over the CM white page so that it goes only to the white metal? borders on the CM pg, so that everything will be under the protective sheet when it is added. HTH
