Cleaning clear stamps

I hope someone can give me some tips and tricks for cleaning clear stamps. I know there is a special cleaner for it (which of course I do not have), but can you clean these stamps with warm water, or is that affecting them?

So far I had no problem drying them with a tissue. At the moment I am using white ink and it is very difficult to remove it completely.

Any thoughts and help are welcome.

mild soap and water.

another thing, instead of using just a tissue to wipe it off, use a non-alcohol based baby wipe. That will clean it better.

I just use dish soap and water, and leave them to dry naturally, no wiping with anything linty.

White ink and metallic inks are the worst.

To be honest though, unless the ink on a stamp is going to transfer onto another image, it really isn't that big a deal whether you get the ink our of all the nooks and crevices.

After I have finished my titles with the white ink, I will try and clean them with dish soap. I do not care if they are not completely clean (once they have dried it is not a big deal) but it also seems they are not sticking as well as they used to. Maybe it is something in the ink that is different!

And Rosita I guess I need to go shop for baby wipes!

I use the non alcohol - unscented baby wipes too

i use baby wipes as well quick and easy to clean the stamps off

If they are not sticking well clean them well under running water and dish soap lay them with stamp side down on a towel to dry. Do not wipe them with anything they should start sticking better after that.

I have one of those scrubbie pad thingees. I keep a solution of dish liquid and water in a small spray bottle. I will either spray my stamp or scrubbie pad thingee or I'll spray my stamp and then blot it to dry it a little. I have to admit, I do not like ink stains on my stamps and you are never to use alcohol on them but I do anyway. It gets the ink off and it's usually diluted(I do this mostly when I use Stazon ink)....hey, it's my issue LOL. I am a freak about some things.

That Staz-On cleaner works great. But I have to admit I don't always clean my stamps. Ink stains don't bother me. A lot of times I just keep a sheet of typing paper on the table and stamp them until no more ink comes off. I don't believe it's hurt my stamps any in the last 6 years to do that, though it may cause them to eventualy deteriorate faster. I'm not worried about it.

When I ordered the white and copper ink, I did see the Stazon cleaner, but because I had no problems in the past, didn't buy it. I didn't realise the white ink is different from the other ones. Normally I can get them clean pretty well and a stain or two does not bother me as well. But with the white ink it is just horrible and my stamps kept falling off.

Ink stains don't bother me either. I wipe mine clean with either baby wipes or cleaning wipes then blot them dry with a paper towel or let them air dry

My understanding is that the cleaner you need depends more on the ink you're using. I use distress inks (water based - washes off under running water), the versa colour inks (I stamp off the excess onto a scrap of paper then run under water) and Stazon (needs Stazon cleaner).

I did buy the Inksentials "clear stamp cleaner" but I rarely need to use it.

I find that the yellows and reds tend to stain the clear stamps more than other colours but as long as it's not transferring onto other images I don't really care.

i usually just dab mine clean and if they are very dirty i use a baby wipe
