leftover alphabet stickers?

what can be done with leftover alphabet stickers? I can forsee having a stack of q's and x's by the end of my first year of scrapping that I don't know what to do with!

mix the fonts together to make a playful title. or sometimes you can cut the letters to make a letter you need

ex; cut the tall part of an 'h' to make an 'n'

If you use alphas that are punch outs....save the sheet you punch it from and use the alphas you have and complete the rest of the word by carefully cutting around the punched edge of the letter your needing so it's just the outline of that letter. You can also use that punches out area to trace the letter you need.

And just as Glenda said, mixxing alpha can be cool!

I am the queen of altering letters - q can be used as b upsde down or flip over to make p or d (just paint or use sharpies to recolour if they are chipboard) Cut x down to make i. Use numbers for letters like 3 becomes e, 1 becomes i or l, 6 becomes g etc. Just get creative and you'll use up so much of your stash

My Daughter gets all of the letters that I know I'll never use...a sticker is a sticker to her:)

You can make a layout with a word search accent using your unused letters and the letters in your title can standout by being a different color or circling them, Make a frame around a picture using all the letters of the alphabet but using different fonts/colors. I also remember seeing an article about this topis in a SCRAPBOOKS ETC. magazine a while ago where people used letter stickers to make border strips and accents like flowers with lowercase b,q,p, and b. HTH

You're all so clever and inventive! Thanks for all the ideas. The more questions I ask here the more confident I am becoming about taking on the small task of starting a scrapbook for my bf and me (only 2yrs of pics so far) and the absolutely mammoth task of 20 yrs of photos for my 2 kids... swoon... I'm a little lost on the big project, but that's another topic thread for the future!

While I love all the creative ideas above, I solve the problem by never using alpha stickers, lol. I mostly create titles in Photoshop and print them, or cut them out with a die-cut machine.

HAHAHA.....glad to see I'm not the only one who does this! lower case u can work for n as well!

I like to alter the letters also. It is amazing what you can get out of some of them.

You can also use the odd ones in your journaling.

Cutting them or repurposing seems to be best.

I alter letters ALL the time ... it's the only way to get my money's worth out of the pack

Agreed. Alter them if you run out of the ones you have left, and don't be afraid to mix and match the fonts to use up letters from all the packs! And if worse comes to worse with the leftovers, give them to a kid to do her own scrapbook page! And I've seen layouts with misc letters on the page to symbolize learning to read, and school etc....

Edited to add: SWAP them with a friend...they may have a child named zane, xander, quinn, etc....

When you start getting low on letters, another idea might be to use a2zwordfinder.com

Use the anagram search and put (the letters that you do have) into the search box and it will give you a list of all the words that contain those letters.

YES!!! I used question marks as the letter S in the word "questions"....(is that confusing?) It looks like this; QUE?TION? and it's totally cute!

I give them to kids and/or a teacher.

My family last name starts with M. My initials are MM. My daughter is MMM. Dh and dear son both have KM. I got a Cricut then I can have as many m's as I need.
