What is the difference between the starter set and the Fiskars - ShapeBoss - The Ultimate Embossing System?

Looking at getting one and don't know which one.

I know the Shapeboss comes w/the blue plastic holder for all the stencils but check out the Fiskars site for complete details on the differences.

The ScrapBoss made specifically for 12x12 papers, and is bigger than the ShapeBoss.

I always did get the 2 names confused...and I have this system for the 12x12...DUH! I have the system for cards also and don't even care to know the name of it.
Isn't there 2 kinds for card making also?

I have the mini ShapeBoss and have NEVER used it.

I have the Shapeboss 12 x 12 and i love it. I use it for embossing as it was intended, but i also use it as a stencil for shapes. I've had mine a few months and use it quite often. Don't look at it as JUST an embossing system.

I think the 12x12 is "ScrapBoss" and the smaller one is "ShapeBoss". I have collected all ScrapBoss templates I want, but have yet to buy the actual ScrapBoss! Well, maybe next month...

I have also planned on using the templates in drawing, painting and cutting (draw first, then remove the paper and cut so the template won't get cut) as well as for embossing. I was thinking I would first emboss a page, then turn it over and color the embossed surfaces with chalks. Maybe this is old news to many here, but I'm new so it was a great revelation for me.
