Are Ellison Surecut and Accucut dies interchangeable?

Do either of these work on the most common machines or are they only made to work on their respectively branded machines? Thanks!

I know that I have the sizzix big shot and can use just about any die that is out there. I know that the cuttlebug can do the same.

The Accucut and the Ellison Surecut dies are commercial type dies - not the smaller, home-type like Sizzix and Cuttlebug. I doubt they would work on the small home-use machines. Anyone know if they would (and if they are interchangeable on the commercial machines)?

No, you cannot use the wood and metal dies in regular machines--they are thicker dies than the sizzix dies.

Someone said there is a machine coming out at CHA ( I wish I could remember the name! arrgh!) that would take QK and Spellbinders wafer dies all the way to the big wood ones but don't know what it is.

The wood dies and machine are super expensive. If you want to get into that I say get your start here in CA at the Sizzix/Ellison warehouse when they have their big annuals sale every November. Otherwise the cost is about $600 an alphabet and $50-100 for each shape die.
