How to get the scallop border effect on your paper?

I saw the paper on madscrappergirl youtube site. It had a scalloped edge she bought it, but I was wondering how I could make the effect on my paper.

There are special rulers you can buy, but what I did (see "You complete us" in my gallery) is made a straight line on the back of my paper w/ a ruler, then traced around a MM paint bottle (you can use anything round) a bunch of times and cut.

DCWV has scalloped paper - I would do like the last poster said and cut out a pattern. You could make a template and trace and cut.

Ek Success makes corner punches that also make a scallop. Remove the straight edge guide, and hold the punch upside down so you can see where you are punching. Takes a small amount of practice... works great!

I just bought one at jo's for about 5 dollars less 40%. Great sale! LOL!!

The smaller ones are around $5, and the larger ones about $10... great deal, I think. Especially with a coupon...

That's how I did the border on this card . It's a LOT easier than tracing and cutting with scissors. And, once you get the hang of it, it goes pretty quickly!

I bought some scalloped paper, and then traced the shape on some hard cardboard as a pattern. Then I don't have to keep buying the scallops.

In our new catalog (CTMH) there is some of these and we all have been trying to figure it out to! lol Some have used the corner rounder like said above and some have also used the circle from the Couzzle!
I like the cardboard trace bit, thats easy too!!

I haven't tried the punch technique yet but have heard it works really well!! I love the rounder effect it gives as my scalloped scissors are more of a wavt effect IYSWIM

You can just hand cut it too if you aren't really that concerned about it being perfect. Also some lss have a die to cut these--the one i dt at does and i never buy the Bazzill scalloped paper anymore. i'll try to link to some where i did the handcutting.

Also, don't forget about the Fiskars template! I just recently purchased the handheld Fiskars "shape cutter"; it is here in the shop area, but there is a newer version of it that I understand is much easier to use than the one they sell here (sorry sb.com !). One of the templates has an edge of scallops on it. WOW, LOVE it! Most pre-scalloped pp is $2 a sheet. Now, with my Fiskars template I can scallop ANY pp! Easy!!

Pages where I hand cut scallops. Some I did â€œmessierâ€ than others because that was the effect I was going for.

You can also make a scalloped edge with circles. I spaced these ones a little far apart but closer together they look like a scalloped border.

You can also cut things freehand withthe new tool. I bought one a while back because of that feature. thanks for bringing it up! I forgot about it..
