Which xyron?

Which if these is the will I get the mist use out of. I can get the creative station 5" for $20.00 but I have a 2.5 inch creat a sticker. I could bring that one back if the creative station makes stickers just as easy.

It really depends on what exactly you use the xyron for. I have a 2.5" and am considering getting the smaller "X" model for smaller pieces, I just hate to waste so much adhesive running small things through the 2.5" one. A larger one is just not something I have a use for - for larger pieces I use my ATG, glue dots, or Photo Mount, the cost of the xyron adhesive is WAY too high to me compared to the alternatives, and the alternatives work just as well, imo.

Hmmm. I didnt consider the cost of the refills. Thanks. Im going to look into that. I'm considering getting the small xyron as well. They have a bundled package with some dot runners very reasonable. I think it was 9.99.

I have the small X and use it a lot. Last time I bought refills, I got 5 or 6 of them, I'm down to 1 or 2. I've also got the 9" which comes in handy for making album overs but I've been out of cartridge for a while and keep forgetting to get one when I have a coupon. I picked up a 2-1/5" at a garage sell and need to get a cartridge for it.

I also use the X a lot--it's the tiny things that are so hard to stick. I use the 2.5 some. And I have never felt I needed a larger one. Guess I could have just dittoed Flappers.

I was given a 5in xyron a couple years ago. I use it for larger embellishments, especially for flourishes and large letters that are two thin to use my ATG gun on. I liked it so much that I bought the smaller, x-shaped xyron to use for small letters and embellishments.

Also, I only use the permanent adhesive cartridges. I once bought the re-positional cartridge by mistake and it was horrible. The adhesive did not stick very well at all.

I have my X and a 5" For me, I use the X WAY more and most of the stuff I'd put thru the 5" can have an ATG used on it (unless it's letters/flourishes/delica te cuts). I rarely use the 5".

I also have the X and the 5" Creative Station--I certainly use the X more, but I love having the 5" on hand for things like welded titles, flourishes, etc. that have too many skinny places that would be hard to get at with the ATG or a glue pen. I don't like having (connected) parts that are not glued down because I'm worried about catching them on other things before getting the LO in an album.

There are times I've thought about a 2.5" one, but I don't think I really need it because of the other options I have.

I love all of mine. I have 2 X's, a 900 and a 5" one - I use them all - I love the larger one for paper that I use to make mini chipboard albums - it is large enough to get great coverage!!!. I guess - you need to look at what you will use it for then make the decision. I purchased all of them with coupons and I usually get my refills with 50% off coupons. I also loaded up on them a few years ago when there were some 55% off coupons at ACMoore - great time to but refills!!!

Yes to all of this especially the re-positionable adhesive my layered items just fell off.

I might add that the larger machines also have laminate and magnet options as well. I have used those for projects around the house and the kid's school.

I started with an "X" and was hooked so I bought the 5 and the 9. I would say start with the X see how you like it. The chain stores in my area allow their coupons to be used and they have in store sales on the refills up to 40% off.

SB.com use to have a good deal for 6 refills of the X.

I have the 900, 500 and X. I tend to use them all, but I also use ATG and GlueGlider Pro as well as Zig 2 way.

I love adhesives! I have all of the X, 2.5., 5" Creative Station and the Creatiopia. I use them all. I really like using the Creatiopia (12") for adhering large cuts to walls or putting adhesive on a lot of smaller pieces at one time. I think any size will come in handy...all adhesives serve a purpose.
