8x8 albums

I see these all over the place, but I haven't seen a big variety of papers this size. Maybe I'm not looking in the right place? Do you just use 12x12 paper and trim it?

I just looked online at Joann.com and they have a sale of 8 x 8 cardstock stacks. Looks like a lot to choose from. Also, don't know where you are located, but Joann's has stores also. Check Hobby Lobby and Michaels craft stores if you have them near you. They also carry 8 x 8 paper.

I usually cut my 12x12 papers or you can buy them in stacks. I'll PM you the address!

I like using the 12x12 paper - I feel like I have more options then!

I use 8.5x11 card stock trimmed, and then I use the leftover piece for a border or mat on the same page--built in coordination!

All My Memories has great papers that are 12x12 but designed so you can cut the 8x8. They are the Couture Linen Hex paper line!

I usually just cut my 12x12s but TAC just came out with tons of exclusive 8x8 stacks. Cute, cute papers!! I think I'm going to get 'em all.

I was a member of an 8x8 monthly kit club--still have lots left. But I also cut up a lot of 12x12. A third option--I also piece together scraps from my 12x12 lo's. Often I have two coordinated pices that fill up the 8x8.

I use to cut my 12X12 paper down for my 8X8 album. I just purchased my 1st bulk of 8X8 paper & very happy, can't wait to use it...I had to put it up b4 I had an opportunity to use it since we are packing to move...

Die Cuts With A View probably makes the most varieties of 8x8. You can get them at JoAnn's, Archivers, Michaels and Hobby Lobby, plus about a gazillion places online. It's a nice size for gift albums.

I'm working on an 8x8 album right now and although there are some 8x8 pages at Joann's and Michael's I've found that cutting down 12x12 gives me much more variety. I use the remainder of the 12x12 for photo mats and punches.

Our local super walmart carries a large variety of the 8x8 size stacks...not sure if they all do though.

I see the stacks and open stock sheets everywhere. I'm finishing up a gift album and am going to start a second one in a few weeks.

Speaking of 8 x 8 albums, have any of you ever tried to insert 8 x 8 pages within the 12 x 12 albums (specifically The Perfect Scrapbook by Colorbok )? I take pics at my son's Friday nite hs football games every week and do a double LO page on the game. However, I want to insert the news story but don't want it to take up space on my 12 x 12 LO. I was wondering if an 8 x 8 post bound would fit inside the double page spread for the article. Any input and I'll be forever grateful! HELP!

I cut my paper down to but sometimes qvc has paper packs that have one pad of 12x12 and one pad of 8x8

I just use 12x12 paper--the packs usually have too much or not what I want so I just make my own. The scraps are great for cards or borders on 12x12 pages.

I'm too starting on my sons hs football games, but I'm making pockets to insert the articles from the newspaper so that I don't have to worry about any of it not being seen...Of course that would require the lo being more than 2 pages...
