an alternative to binding posts and extenders!

I saw an item a few months back on qvcuk or maybe createandcraft and didn't get a chance to see what it was called! (kids, you gotta love 'em)
but it was an alternative to using binding posts and extenders! it looked really good and i could kick myself for not telling the kids to go upstairs so i could find out more about it, does anyone know what i am talking about ( i know i am taking a long shot here! not many people get what i am muttering about these days! boo hoo sob)
it looked plastic and was a sort of rod that clipped into itself!!! heck that sounds weird but if you know what i mean can you let me know what it is called and can i get it in the UK?

it sounds like a strap hinge set!! i have one and its plastic pieces that attach to the album itself and has a plastic like zip tie thing that attaches to it to keep it connected

Its a snap hinge binder set and I think Lisa Bearson has something on QVC. I have seen reviews of this on here, for and against but mostly folks liked them.

i use the one maymay put in her thread and i love it!!! my post bound album was starting to rip but i switched it over and all is fixed and better now!! must easy to add pages too!

Pioneer also makes these. They have albums with this type of binding. You can purchase a conversion kit at places such as M's or Jo's.

I am relatively sure that you can find them online as well. I haven't seen Lisa Bearsons info, but it sounds like it is the same.

Pioneer calls it the "snap load system".

Google it and you will find!

By the way, I have a few of the albums that come with this binding system and I really like them. They seem to hold more pages then post bound.

I've converted a couple of my post-bound albums to snap-load. You can fit a TON of pages in then. I have a really thick book and that one doesn't seem as sturdy as it would with posts, but it hasn't bothered me enough to take it apart.

I use nothing at all except these snaploads from Pioneer . They are awesome!!! I love that when you open the albums your pages lay flat together like CM strap hinge ones...I didn't love the converter system. It was okay, but I had to add a 3D Zot under each tab to get it to stick because the adhesive that is on it doesn't stick that great. But, the ones that already come that way I have not had any probs!

Oh yeah...good point about the adhesive on the converters--I had to add Glue Dots too.
