I know I've read this on here somewhere, but can't seem to find it. I just got my first clear stamps today, but before I try them out, I need to know how to clean the ink off of them when I'm done. Please help! I'm anxious to try them, and don't want to mess them up!
    Thanks for any suggestions.

i used travel wipes but most say not to use them...plain old soap and water works good too...don't take my word for it thought i'm still a newbie to scrapping

I just rinse mine under warm running water and then blot dry. They come perfectly clean and I havent ruined them!

I also run mine under water water and use soap if needed. I also have a cleaner from Stampin' Up that works great. It opens flat, you spray the cleaner on one side and rub the stamp over it and then dry it on the other side. I use it more at crops since it's easier then getting up and down for the water.

I think wipes are fine, as long as they are alcohol-free. The alcohol dries out the stamps.

I just use water on a paper towel or baby wipes.

I use alcohol free baby wipes that sit at my desk as well. If they get to where they are no longer tacky or just won't stick to the acrylic block I put them in a little strainer and run warm water and dish soap over them and they are good as new.

I took a stamping class from Sassafrass Lass. We used stamps, and the teacher said that Wet Ones are her first choice. She said to avoid baby wipes because of the ingredients in the wipes. Personally, I use the wet ones, and then follow up with a good rinsing under the faucet.

Thank you so much to everyone that replied. I just love these forums. I am new to scrapbooking and I've learned so many awesome ideas, and do's and dont's. Thanks again.

I just use soap and water. Some inks may stain them, but even if you can't get them 100% clean they will still work just fine.

i use just regular plain old baby wipes and when they loose there stickyness I wash them under warm water with soap and let them dry on a dish towel or hand towel
been using the baby wipes for a few years. hth

I just started to get into stamping a about a year or two ago. I looked online a lot about how to clean your rubber and clear stamps. What I found works for me is just a damp wet towel. Even my mini minster with water and spray it on the stamp. Then swipe it clean with a dry paper towel. Works great and keeps my stamps clean. I also stamp the extra ink off on printing paper. Then clean it.

I do have some stain on at least couple of my stamps. I'm thinking of getting stamp cleaner called Ultra Clean Stamp Cleaner. I saw a video of it on YouTube. Do any of you ladies have Ultra Clean Stamp Cleaner? How does it work for your stamps that have stain ink that won't come off? It is said to help get off stubborn ink that won't come off. I used I think Ranger Archival Black Ink or Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I can't remember but it has to be one of those inks. Because it the only two Black inks I have.
