Tacky Glue ...

Hi,

I searched and read some old posts about tacky glue. I gathered the idea is not to use on photos directly then it should be safe. Am I correct?

I guess I'm a bit confussed. Say I use the tacky glue on a cardstock to hold beads down, then I use some other AF glue to glue the cardstock on my page. If the tacky glue is NOT AF ... won't the acid eventfully work it way to rest of my page???

Does tacky glue also work well with glitters? What other things do you have good experience with tacky glue?

i have used it when i didnt have ANYTHING else that would work. but you are right..acid does spread eventually.

and it is not acid free...i checked with company.

hmmm don't know there was sooo many different kinds when I looked today.

Here is what I got from the company:

The Aleene's Tacky Glue is not archival. We would not recommend using that glue for scrapbooks. However, we do suggest using Aleene's Memory Glue or Aleene's 2 in 1 and both of these glues are acid-free.
