Heavyweight cardstock

I am looking for some white heavy weight card stock to use for cards. I've purchased some from Wmart, Michaels, and Hobby Lobby and it is all kind of flimsy. Does anyone have any suggestions for a heavy weight cardstock that works well as a card base?

I have actually encountered the same issue. I rememdied it by gluing two sheets of white paper together. It works perfectly. Since you said you are using it for cards, you probably will be cutting it anyway, so that should work out.

Since white paper comes free with scrapbooks, I get creative on using them.

Someone told me that Papertry Ink's cardstock is heavier than most. Has anyone every used it?

I like to use DCWV but it's textured. Otherwise, I don't know.

for card bases I like SU! whisper white - I've also heard really good things about Gina K designs white and PTI (papertrey Ink) white.

I like Bazzill and Stampin Up cardstock. Both have textured and nontextured options.

For anything I do it's always Bazzill

I find the HL textured to be heavier weight. It's what I'm using for my daughter's graduation announcements.

I use Die Cuts with a View cardstock for EVERYTHING!

So far the best I have found is Paper Trey Ink...I swear by it. However I recently found Bazzill smoothies and it is a close runner up.

I believe I'm the only chickie on the planet not feeling the Bazzill love. I find DCWV to be more sturdy, especially the textured cardstock. I've also had great results with PTI. (I used their try me pack which had a bunch of colours.) Good luck with your search.

I love Stampin' Up!s cardstock. Their white paper has an especially nice, smooth texture.

Pure Luxury by Gina K Designs. I got the 120lb for using my Copics. Definitely the heaviest cardstock I have ever purchased. I love it!!!

Let me start by saying generally I am ultra thrifty. No way would I buy Bazzill when I could get DCWV so much cheaper. I finally found out why - the DCWV stuff is very thin. Don't get me wrong, I still love it for layering and other things, but it does not work as a card base. Although I mentioned Bazzill I only have the textured stuff and that frequently isn't what I'm looking for in a card. My sister gave me a pack of Stampin Up cardstock and it's fantastic. As a cheaper option check out your local office supply store (I go to Staples). You can usually buy reams of cover stock there at a fraction of scrapbook supply prices and since its for a card, the fact that its probably not AF isn't important.
