Scrapbook for my wedding advice!

hello fellow scrapbook ladies (& perhaps gentlemen),

I have a question I hope you can help me with. I have a wedding coming up and I wanted to have a scrapbook there for my guests. I'm going to have a photobooth there (I hired http://www.mebophoto.com). They have a scrapbooking package, but I decided to try and save a little money and set up a scrapbooking table myself.

So basically, I'm wondering if any of you have any experience with having a scrapbook table set up at a wedding and any suggestions that might help me out. I'm totally new to scrapbooking.

In particular, I have no idea what's a good scrapbook to use or where to pick it up for a good price. HELP!!

We had a photo booth at our wedding...our guests LOVED it and I enjoy having silly photos of all of them. Be sure to pick up some props if the booth company does not provide them.

I just checked out Mebo Photo I love the idea!! I am totally going to hire them for my wedding... I have always though when I get married instead of having a guest book where people just sign in I would have pieces of 5 by 5 card stock or journaling boxs where the guests could write wishes or notes to the newly married couple.
As far as what supplies to have at the table I would have an album (which is your own preference, I think it would be simple to have an album with clear page protectors that they could just slip their finished page in), lots of adhesive, maybe some wedding or party stickers, lots of pens, maybe some pre cut dicuts, I would have matching paper packs that people could choose their own paper from, and journaling boxes for them to write a note to you on!!

Thanks for the helpful advice! Ok, here's another totally newb question. For the pre cut dicuts, how do you stick those on? Are there adhesives on there already? Or do you need to use glue?

Also, I've seen some scrapbooks that use black backgrounds instead of the typical white. What looks more classy for a wedding?

@ Stephanie, I would totally recommend Mebo Photo! I went to a wedding that they were at, loved it! The couple that works the booth are extremely sweet and friendly. And I love how they're a studio booth and not one of those machine ones. (by the way, your dogs are adorable!)

For the dicuts you can use just the regular adhesive or you can get an adhesive pen called a zig 2 way glue pen (its blue)... I think black pages would look very classy!!!

Creative Memories have albums with black pages you should search their website for a consultant that could help you out a lot!!

Hi there! I bought some digital journaling spots from another site (PM me if you want the info) Printed and cut those out and left them at the tables for all of the guests at my cousins wedding. There were also cameras at each table (though, I have always loved the idea of a photobooth!) but once the photos were developed I matched up all of the photos with the comments left at the table and just minimally embellished each page. All pages were 8x8 pieces of black cardstock, so it gave a nice uniform look to the whole album. Then I used her wedding colors (purple and green) as the accent colors and photo mattes. Phew... hope that makes some sense!

So, if you wanted to do your own supplies, I would have a simple 8x8 album there with either black or white cardstock as the base of the page, lots of glue sticks or tape runners (tape runners would be better quality-wise) and glue dots. Then I would add little jars or bowls on the table of embellishments you like such as buttons, flowers (which glue dots would be used for), adhesive rhinestones, maybe some wedding themed things... then if you want to go one extra step you could have some pre-cut patterned paper or pre-cut solid papers in your accent colors so they could matte photos or just add some interest to the page. (I should mention I also hosted a baby shower scrapbooking party) And CONGRATS on getting married!

At mine, I had a photo book, like you can get printed at....I forget where...shutterbug, snapfish...something like that...anyway I had a lot of photos of DH and I durring our engagment, from when we were kids, wedding party, and then pages of the people who helped us get were we are and an "in memory page". I had a blank page for every photo page so the guests could sign in and leave a wish or advice. I really did not think anyone would actually take the time to look at the pics, but THEY DID...and some even got a bit teary at the "in memory" page and passed it around durring the reception. Now we have a keepsake that we actually use and look at.

I def think albums are the way to go.. I don't know what I would ever do with guest signatures in a book.. I love scrapbooks!!!!

The service I used was called picaboo.com. if you sign up for their newsletter / email list, they will start sending you coupons. we got a 50% off one and it made the book very reasonable (for a guest book).
