Writing on Scrapbooking Paper

I am a new scrapbooker and I just don't quite know how it is best to write on some of the papers I have, because they have a shiny surface. Can you please help me with some ideas.

I rarely write directly on my printed paper, but with the right kind of pen,you can do so easily. I recently found the bic market pens that are an acif free alternative of the sharpies and they work great.

American Craft Slick Writers pens work great on shiny surfaces.

Any old Sharpie will do the trick too but I would be careful writing on patterned paper s as the writing might get lost among the patterns. Why not make yourself a little jounrlaling block from some card or blank paper and write on that and stick it down?

I like journaling blocks myself, because if I make a mistake, or don't like how it looks, it's a simple trick to just DO OVER

I use sharpies. I write on my pages all the time! I figure it I make a mistake or you can't see it, I can always cover it up with a journaling block or sticker!

I use the slick writer by American Craft or a plain sharpie...welcome to the neighborhood!!!

Ditto! Unlike Sharpies, these won't "bleed through" onto other papers/work surfaces, etc.

Slick Writers are the way to go. They don't bleed through and they dry super fast.

I love my slick writers, but would also suggest probably a journaling block. Writing on your "main" page and then having a mistake is hard to fix.
