Fiskars ShapeBoss or ScrapBoss ??

Does anyone know the difference between these two. I went on the website but it didn't really say too much. It looks like they do the same thing. Soooooo confused.

The ShapeBoss is 8 1/2 x 11 and the ScrapBoss is 12x12. All of the other sizes of stencil fit on the ScrapBoss.

I bought a light boss some time ago and can't find templates for it anymore. Seems they only make the 12 x 12 for the scrapbox. Boo Hoo

I have the 12X12 ShapeBoss & I use 8 1/2 X 11 templates on it...They just don't go all the way down, I just make sure the template is mounted down @ the top & on one of the sides which works great for me...I guess you have to make it fit, I don't know how to get rid of things, so I make them work..Don't want to keep spending money to replace things when I spend my xtra money on things I want..

I wanna get a Scrapboss... who recommends it? If not, whats another rec you might have?

truly the only difference between the scrapboss and shapeboss is their size.

scrapboss = 12" x 12"
shapeboss = 8.5" x 11"

we also have two other sizes as well :

mini shapeboss = 4" x 6"
card boss = 4.25" x 5.5"

mother goose, you're right. we no longer manufactuer the lightboss. instead, we utilize the systems mentioned above for embossing.

Does anyone know if you can you use the Mini Shapeboss templates on the Scrapboss?

You can use the templates on them, but they will not be held on all 4 sides That is really the only down fall...

I recommend the Scrapboss. It works GREAT on vellum!

I love my scrapboss. It is soooo easy (my 6 yr old did it on the first attempt) and it makes some very interesting effects.
