Dream Vacation Poll

Okay,
With all this talk about summer vacation it got me thinking about where I would really like to go. So, let's have some more fun.

If you could go anywhere on vacation, where would that be?

My dream vacation is to go to Costa Rica and see the rain forest. Not like a day trip riding through the rain forest in a jeep, but a stay in a tent and look for snakes, bugs, exoctic plants and wildlife kind of vacation. I just think this would be such a cool adventure. Then of course, I'd like to spend a couple days on some secluded beach and just hang out and drink margarita's and eat seafood. No kids on this one, just me and my hubby. Maybe for our 10 year anniversary!

What's your dream vacation?

I just want to go away with my husband ~ ALONE! Anywhere that's out of pager and cell-phone range works for me!

SCOTLAND!!! I've been there once, but DH hasn't gotten to see it. It feels like you're stepping back in time - no disruptions, etc. I love it!

But let's be realistic - anywhere different and quiet would be fine with me! I would just love a chance to do NOTHING.

I've traveled to New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, Thailand, and lived in Indonesia. We really liked Australia but since I haven't been to Europe yet, I would like to see that. We are planning a trip to Iceland next spring so that should be fun. I also would like to take a Windjammer Cruise sometime.

My husband and I would go on a tour of quaint Scottish and Irish towns for about two months. We'd travel by bike.

I'm really easy--anywhere I can open the window (especially in the winter) and hear and see the ocean. So anywhere in Hawaii!

My DH and I have traveled and camped all over U.S. many times, and our favorite places are the entire state of Wyoming (especially the Jackson Hole and Tetons area),the red rock country of Utah (Brice Canyon area), and the Saw Tooth Mountains in Idaho. We love to rough camp and these places are like heaven to us. Hope you find your dream spot!

My dream vacation is to go to Egypt and the to Kenya to go on a photo safari. My DH and I watch every Egyptian show that comes on TV. I love giraffes and I would love to see a herd wild.

My dream vacation would be to Europe. Anywhere.....since I that's about the only part of the world I haven't been too. Growing up in the military I've been to many places.

My dream vacation would be to Hawaii. Our 10th anniversary is coming up in October and I was hoping to visit the Hawaiian islands to celebrate...it's just too expensive right now! I have done some research and really want to visit the island of Kauai. I have seen some gorgeous photos! I also want to have the ocean lull me to sleep every night! Ahhh! I can just smell the sea breeze now!
Maybe one day!

Right now, anywhere outside of work sounds good to me! Although I only work 5 hours a day, I work 6 days a week. It gets a little tiring having to wake up early to go to work on a beautiful Saturday.

I want to go to the beach! Any beach, with smallish waves where I could swim forever! Great sand that's smooth so I could lie out and get a tan!

I kind of am torn. If it had to be with kids, I'd go to Disney World and then take one of the Disney cruises.
I there was a way to lose the kids for a few weeks, I'd go for a short stay at Las Vegas to gamble and then off to a cruise any where Hot! Jamaca, Hawii, Caribbian, any where!

Well, I just got back from what I would call a "dream vacation". If you ever have the opportunity to go to Aruba -- go! It was wonderful -- just me and my husband and my sister and brother-in-law. No kids -- no cats -- no dogs -- no email -- no phone calls -- no responsibility. Just kicked back and relaxed. (I never knew a vacation could be like this!)

Next year I've already promised my daughter and son-in-law we'll go to Disney world for a family vacation -- but in two years I think I'm going to head to Aruba again.

Other places? Well, I have to agree that I've always wanted to visit Scotland and Ireland -- that Celtic blood in me I guess.

hmmmm....this is a tough one. I would like to go to Scotland/Ireland, I would love to go to Italy, I would love to go visit my cousin in Hawaii. Last but not least the little kid in me wants to go to Disney.

I just want to go around the coast and see all of the lighthouses! I love lighthouses. I especially want to visit the NC coast.

Aloha, Patti H. Since this is a "DREAM VACATION" I would first be thin and oliveskin and able to walk, run, dance, water ski, and scuba dive. In other works my legs would work well and no more MS. Praise the Lord!!! My Bobby (DH of 35+years) and I would go to Hawaii and enjoy the delicious pineapple (his favorite fruit). Bobby is retired and we have moved to FL from OH. NO MORE SNOW!!!
Patti H. your DV sounds a little scary and exciting at the same time. ScrapperSue, I think, no I know that Bobby & I would love your DV too! Bobby lived in Moscow, not sure of spelling, Idaho in the early 50s. during elementary school. Bobby took three of our 4 grown children on "The Great Western Adventure" in 1997. I visited my Mother and brothers plus families in Oklahoma while they did all that traveling. Judi, I liked your DV too. The sound of the ocean is Wonderful. ENJOY.
