I don't know if any of you purchased this new small-sized die-cutting/embossing machine when it was featured on HSN, but I do have one comment regarding this product. You cannot - not ANYWHERE - purchase additional blank cutting folders for it. Not only that, but there is no indication when (or if) they will EVER be available again. While I think the concept is great, I would certainly not advise purchasing it until they catch up with the demand for its accessories. I have used mine a lot, but the cutting folders are quickly wearing out and I'm afraid it's just going to end up being another piece of useless (and expensive) equipment taking up space on my desk. It's frustrating.

I bought one of these, too. I love mine and use it a lot, but yes....the folders are wearing out. I recall the HSN hosts saying that it would be officially released in September-ish, so hopefully accessories will be available then.

I purchased the additional set of folders for it so I'm all set. You can keep using the old folders over and over again, even if they appear to be worn out. I used one of mine and it still worked even though it was badly warped.

I also got the binder for the dies but was unable to buy the extra pages for it. They are nowhere to be found.

Mine are beyond warped - they're almost eaten through! They're very thin and as much as I've used mine, the dies have really cut through them. By the time I placed my order, the extra set of cutting folders was sold out. For people who don't know how it works, it doesn't use "plates" like the Big Shot and others do. It uses folders (like little embossing folders, but plain) and you place your die and paper inside of the little folders.

Mine are in the very warped stage, with the ends about to separate. Personally, I think they should have stayed in better shape longer.

I also bought the binder. I love the binder, but am in the same position of not being able to find page refills.

Fingers crossed that what I heard about them coming out with this product for everyone in the Fall is true. We should be able to get refills/replacements then. In the meantime, I wouldn't buy this system until then.

Update: When I ordered my set, I was forced into signing up for a quarterly something-or-other. It was the only option left. It means that every quarter (for one year) they send me more die cuts, embossing folders, stamps, and they sent 2 stamp pads. I received mine Friday and they included a brand new cutting folder! Yay! I'm very pleased with the die cut/stamp selection (sentiments). I very much needed something like this, and the value is wonderful. I think I paid $24 for probably $50+ worth of materials.

Unfortunately, this news does not help anyone who did not sign up for the quarterly thing, but perhaps these replacement folders will be available to all in the future.

Yep....these are still in stock (link is in Karen's post above). I was able to stock up on blank folders, plus I bought a 2nd storage case, alpha dies, and border dies. I'm a happy girl!

The storage binder doesn't work well at all. I had purchased 2 extra sets of magnet pages for it. However, it is very difficult to turn the pages, and the dies have a habit of sticking on to the previous magnet page when you try to turn them.

I ended up getting a large size zippered binder and adding magnet sheets to 8 1/2" x 11" page protectors. I transferred the dies to the larger pages, where I have room to place about 2 1/2 smaller pages of the dies into one large page. The page protectors make it much easier to turn a page without any worries.

Now I have the empty small zippered binder taking up space.

By the way, I buy a large roll of magnet sheeting: 8 feet by 24", and cut it up into the smaller size pages as needed. It comes to a little more than a dollar a page, and use it for all my dies.

I've been lucky and haven't had any problems with the first one I purchased. I want a second so that I have ample room to store all of the dies, stamps and embossing folders. Plus I've also collected a few small sets from other makers that I've added to my folder. I like to take mine with me on crops, so having something that zips is exactly what I need.

Thanks for the DIY tips! I've seen people use folders and I've wondered how they managed the magnet sheet part.

Can you use the Diamond press dies in the Gemini jr or Sizzix big kick? I like the dies but don't need any other machine. Thanks.
