A simple sand effect technique

Hi girls! Just want to share an easy technique. I went to AC Moore looking for a product to create a sand effect and found Duncan "Snow Accents". I wasn't sure if this would work but gave it a try. Here's the layout that I created just two days ago.

The alphas are AC chipboard Thickers, added one spoon of Duncan Snow Accents and half spoon of brown acrylic paint. Yes, it worked and I love how it looks!

It takes about two hours to dry, depends on how much you add. Easy and not messy.

Hmm....which section were they in? I haven't seen them and now I want to try, even though I have so many products already that resemble snow/sand (flowersoft, ultrafine flowersoft, glimmer flock, white flock...the list goes on...). Your title letters look awesome!

I went to Hobby Lobby and found texturized spray paint that is acid free that looks like sand texture too! I can't wait to try it!!

Great thinking making sand out of the snow effects!

Gina, there were at the front by the registers. Now there probably with the christmas items because it supposed to work on any surface.

I saw it online, with glitter. I can add a little bit of glue glitter next time.

OOoooo I bet I could use this on chip alphas for my kids motocross album....anything that looks like dirt is always good, lol. TFS

I never thought to color it for sand! Awesome idea!
