Pockets, flaps and other hidden things on LOs

Hey ladies!
I'm getting ready to make a tiny scrapbook where I'm going to include a LOT of stuff. Thus the small pages can't handle it, but I don't want to make them any bigger. So I need ideas how to hide some stuff, interesting ways of making pockets, additional folds and ways of incorporating extra space in a LO.

I browsed gallery with "pocket" tags, but haven't found much new: mostly tags tucked in simple pockets (3 sides glued, one side open).

Do you have any innovative ideas? =)

I've done minis within minis before,,,,,,usually I do 6x6 minis and include minis of about 3x3,,,

what kind of a mini is it?? If its folded cs or a pba, you can use larger tags in the pockets,,,,I've also included half pages,,,,

Envelope books can create a lot of room in a small space. The envelope books I've made have a fold out flap on each page. There is a picture in my gallery (tried to embed it here but computer was being poky and I gave up) Search youtube.com for how to videos.

CommaHolly, it will be a mini in a ps3 game box, so it's about 4,5" by 6" or a little bit less =)
Can you show any examples? I thought that making smaller pages in a mini it ok, but it isn't very innovative, I mean you turn page by page from right to left or even vice versa, but I want to give it a twist =)

I've put in an accordion folded piece of cardstock (or even two sided paper) and then added a piece of ribbon wrapped around it to close it shut (or even a metal photo turn can hold it as long as it isn't too fat) That way you get a bit of interactive yet more space to put more stuff!!

I was thinking the same as kirasmommy. I've done that on mini's quite a bit. I don't have pics either lol but they are easy to do. Youtube should have something

I'm working on one right now that fits the measurements of yours. It's a paper bag album so I have loads of room in the bag but loads of other tricks as well. I just did a couple of tags but then a large tag that fits in the bag has 16 wallet size photos on 2 according fold albums. I'm working on the envelope technique for the current page. The envelope is cut at the top which will hold one or more photos or tags, then the lower pocket will hold a couple of tags or photos and I've got it on a small connector piece glued to the base page so it flips up then on top of the connector piece is a photo mat (so the mat covers the connector piece AND I'm going to glue the mat on the left side, top and bottom and slide a journal tag under that.

Did ANY of that make sense at all? LOL I hope you can picture what I mean because it's pretty cool I can get at least 6 pictures and a tag on that one 4.5x6 page.

Another idea I haven't tried yet but intend to on this book is to cut 2 or 3 photos to, say an oval, mat them and attach them at one end with a brad so they swivel. The bottom one can be attached to the base page and the top 2 pictures swivel open to reveal the ones beneath.

I've seen folks on LOs use the swinging brad idea and I think it's brilliant. The ones I saw used rectangular tags with a brad in the bottom L corner so the tags could swing out to be read.

Also, of course, you can tuck multiple tags into a regular envelop holder so that they all overlap and/or hide one another. The viewer wouldn't be able to read them all unless she pulled each tag out. You can put pics on tags.

You can use grunge board latches (because of their flexibility) or ribbon or twine to secure (and open) an accordian style element.
