Where do you get your prints?

I have been using Kodak.com and recently uploaded some to Shutterfly, but then found out they don't crop them properly! Could this be true?

So where do you get your prints?

If I do order, it's from Costco.

I go to Walgreens. It's easy and the price is right. They let you have the option and telling you. My computer crashed and I lost my office which had my photo editing program or else I'd crop to the 4x6 myself. I could get true digi ..but the weird size would drive my crazy. lol

I haven't had problems with bad cropping and I've been lazy with it. lol

I use snapfish. I usually wait til they have a special and then get a ton of pics printed. I've always had good luck with them.

I go to walgreens as well, I really like the convenience of ordering online and they generally have a photo deal every week. This week was 60 4x6 prints for 6.99. You are also able to create a profile and store all your photos there-so one way to back up your images. They have both matte-mail order only-and glossy photos, and when you order online you can go and pick them up in your local walgreens. You can also send photos to other walgreens if you want to share them with others. You can pay online or instore and I have always gotten my orders same day.

I most commonly order from Walgreens, as well. Usually upload to their website, then pick up prints in the store closest to me. As mentioned above, the free, unlimited, online storage is a nice bonus.

But this week, I did a mail-order from Walgreens so I could get matte prints. It was so reasonable - 9 cent prints and free shipping.

For especially nice matte prints (or enlargements) of my fav photos, I mail order from Mpix.

I don't know if this is true, but I have heard, that home-printing fades over time. So, I prefer to send out prints.

I go to Walgreens, the pictures come out crip and they are always giving discounts on developing.

I go to either Walgreens or Kings Soopers. I love that I can upload pictures online and pick them up at Walgreens.

Looks like I am going to have to check out Walgreens. I never seem to think of them when it comes to photos. Thanks ladies!

I just placed my first order for Mpix last night. They were recommended to me by a professional photographer. While they were a tad more expensive than Walmart/Walgreens/etc., I'm confident that the quality will justify the cost. I'm looking forward to seeing what my prints look like on the metallic paper!

Prior, I'd only ordered from Walmart, but I've stopped going there because the quality had really gone downhill. They didn't look like professional printiing; the paper was much thinner and the actual print quality was not good. I've thought about trying Walgreens... night look into that for future orders.

I've gotten prints from Walgreens and I was really disappointed. They looked just like if I would have printed them from my home computer, so that's what I do now.

I have a bunch of free prints from Snapfish, but I've yet to use them to see if the quality is any better.

I got some prints from Walmart a couple weeks ago. There was a guy there picking up his prints and complaining to the associates about the quality. They said they have changed the way they do them.
They do not look like a professional print that's for sure.

I can get free prints for signing up at Walgreen's and I have 50 free prints from Shutterfly, guess I will try them both and see. I have a feeling I will be sticking with Kodak. lol

I think most places don't crop properly for 4X6.

I think Shutterfly has the BEST quality of prints for color of the places I've tried (Wal Mart, Wal Greens, Snapfish, York photo, Costco, etc)

I definitely like the quality from Snapfish better than my local Walgreens.

I also like scrapping the digital size better than a true 4x6. Snapfish does have a great example of how a digital picture gets cropped when you opt for 4x6--a mom with a little girl on her shoulders; half of the girl's head gets chopped off! If you take the time to crop on their website it won't happen because you control what gets cropped, but that takes way too long...

I go to costco, when they have a sale, the most important thing for me is that they use fuji crystal archive paper.

Walgreens also uses the Fuji Crystal Archive paper. My quality from them has always been good.

Snapfish....I just used WalMart and will NEVER again! The quality was absolutely horrible. If I am in a pinch and need a few RIGHT NOW, I use CVS.

I'm also a Walgreen's gal. My local store is only 1 mile away, so it's majorly convenient. I upload the photos and they are usually ready within a few hours (unless I have a massive order). I am working on a large album for my son as a gift for his Bar Mitzvah (which is this September) and just had almost 400 photos printed. I had a coupon for 10 cents a print and was able to pick them up the next day. The only problem I have with them is sometimes the photos aren't ready when they say they will be, so I've learned to call before I go pick them up.

i use snapfish mainly, but every now and then cvs if it's not too many or need them right away. snapfish is good, but the shipping can get you so i usually wait for a sale.

Walmart and sometimes I print my own.

ritz camera/ Wolf camera (same company) has .06 prints on Tuesdays and wed. I order online and just go pick up when I can.

First, stop paying 20 cents or more for your prints!!! Pe Photo is based in New York, and so yes, most of us have to have them shipped to us. But shipping is much much lower than snapfish or any of those places AND prints are 6 cents each. The quality is amazing. On top of that, they're able to print odd sizes such as 12x12. I love them & have been using them for years.

I print my own photos....mainly for convienience of getting them...like NOW...and I can print in many sizes which I luv!!! I use the high quaility HP photo paper, so they should be around for at least 100 plus years and even much more if kept in an acid free album. (which is what I do now)

I have a wonder HP Photosmart C8180 All-in-one that I really love. The ink is a bit costly, but I'm very satisfied with the photos and clip art I print out as well as the scans. I also have a print from negative feature and Disc labeler that I have not used yet, but I imagine I'll be happy with the results of that when ever I get to it.

I'm a BIG fan of tinkering - image cropping/retouching etc once the photos are on my computer, so I feel printing my own is the best fit for me.

When I got my new laptop my old lexmark printer was no longer compatable so I after many days of research ended up buying a cannon Pixma printer which is wireless and it prints out excellent pictures!

Though Kodak has this thing going on about their printer ink being so much cheaper than anyother printer inks but when you read the reviews their printers aren't so good or the quality apparently.

So the cannon had best reviews and I kinda think it's pictures are the same or better that walgreens. JMO though.

And boy I tell ya it uses way less ink than the old lexmark that I had!

Nah. Shutterfly doesn't actually print true 4 x 6.. which is annoying. But I love the quality so much, I ignore the quarter inch they shave off.

I actually think it depends on the Walgreens. The closest one to me doesn't. Which sux. Cause it would be awesomely convenient to not have to order photos. And I prefer the Fuji Crystal paper to any others. It's just the nicest quality out there.

I skip ALL the local places for the very reason listed above.. they look like they were printed off a home computer. What crapp!

Another Walgreens gal here! I have a Canon Selphy sitting on my desk, but usually only use it when I need a few photos on the spot. When Walgreens have sales going on (like every week or so) then I get a bundle printed up. This week through the 24th it's 50 prints for $5. Ten cents a print is not bad at all in my book. I'll probably end up putting it through twice for 100 prints.
10 bucks wouldn't even buy the ink for my Selphy.

I get my pics from Snapfish. I love the price and the quality's great. I also get some from Shutterfly once in a while when they're having a special. Their prices and quality are great too but I've always uploaded everything to Snapfish, so it's easier to order from them.
