I thought it may be helpful to share my experience with the
the Karen Foster Clikit and the Ready Set Tool. I bought
the Karen Foster Tool from my LSS because they recommended
it. I was very dissapointed in its performance. It was not easy to
use. It did not cut or set properly. I had to click the darn thing many
times before it would set the eyelet. The tips do not click into the tool
very easily. After a lot of struggling I decided it would be easier
to use my MM eyelet tools and hammer. I emailed the company
and have not received a response from them. My LSS does not
want to take the Clikit tool back they said that Karen Foster will
not take the tool back. So, I decided to research what other eyelet
tools were out there.
I heard that the Ready Set eyelet setter was a good tool. I went to their
website and watched the demo. I thought that it looked to easy, there
must be a catch. I ordered one anyway hoping for the best. I don't want
to sound like an infomercial but WOW it is worth the money.
It is very well made. I was pleasantly suprised in its performance.
It was as easy to use as the online demo shows. It does make a boinging
noise but it isn't any louder than the Karen Foster Clikit or the hammer. The
Karen Foster Clikit claims their product is quiet and it is not.
Sorry for the long post but I am tired of buying products that are not
what they claim to be. If anyone else has a similar experience I would
like to hear about it. Has anyone used the Fiskars eyelet setter?
